Xiaomi’s MIUI 12 was announced in the mid of 2020 and is so far being one of the longest MIUI versions. The Chinese firm didn’t launch MIUI 13 this year, and we suppose that if it comes this year it will arrive by December. Instead of new versions, we saw Xiaomi launching multiple MIUI 12 versions to keep its users engaged and make the system feel fresh. Earlier this year, and almost half a year after MIUI 12 release, the company unveiled MIUI 12.5 with improvements and a few new features. A few months ago, it introduced the second incremental upgrade in the form of MIUI 12.5 Enhanced. This latest version is reaching a few smartphones, and today it’s time for the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite to get the update.
The Mi 10T Lite is the latest device to get MIUI 12.5 Enhanced. The update is currently available for the global variants of the Mi 10T Lite. This device was also released with slight variations in the camera department. It was rebranded to Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G in China and Mi 10i in India. Currently, the Mi 10T Lite is getting the update with firmware version V12.5.3.0.RJSMIXM.
Gizchina News of the week
Improvements coming for the Mi 10T Lite
In addition to the MIUI 12.5 update that already has its own set of improvements, there are more. The changelog mentions a ton of fixes related to the lock screen, status bar, and notification shade. As for MIUI 12 Enhanced, there are a set of improvements. For instance, we have the new Liquid Storage, Focused Algorithm, and Atomized Memory. Interestingly, the update also brings the Android security patch level to October 2021.
The Focused Algorithm, for those unaware, ensures system smoothness by dynamically allocating resources based on the specific scenes. The Atomized Memory is new memory management that efficiently users the RAM. The crazy RAM usage of MIUI has been one of the biggest targets of criticism in recent years. The Liquid Storage comes to maintain the system responsive by the time. Users have started receiving the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition update globally. Those who are eagerly waiting for it can check the new update heading to Settings >> About Phone >> Tap on the MIUI Logo and check for new updates.
One time that this is a massive rollout, some users may have to wait a few days to get this update on their handsets.
