Honor 9X now receiving HarmonyOS 2.0.0.210 update

Chinese manufacturer, Huawei, has been releasing the HarmonyOS 2 system for its smartphones. As of now, no less than 150 million Huawei and Honor devices currently have the HarmonyOS 2 update. Unfortunately, the company is not releasing the HarmonyOS for global users yet. Its global users are still getting EMUI 12 on top of Android 11. The latest HarmonyOS 2 update report shows that Honor 9X is now getting this system (2.0.0.210 version).

This update upgrades the service center and adds a new combination of scene-based services. Furthermore, it also enables similar services to be accessible with a single click. Also, this update improves the stability of the system. As usual, Huawei recommends that users of this device in China should get this update.

Service Center

  • In the service center (swipe up from the edge of the left or bottom right corner of the screen to enter), a scene-based service combination is added on the “Discovery” tab. When added to the desktop, it can automatically adapt to a universal card and get similar services with one click.

Input

  • Adds a quick download icon for the Xiaoyi input method application (click to download and use it directly).

Honor officially stated that on November 4th, the service app upgrade will be open unlimited, supporting 2.0.0.185/195, and 10.1.0.138 version upgrade to 2.0.0.210 version. In addition, the first batch of 2,000 users who successfully registered for the internal test also received this version push.

HarmonyOS 2 adaptation history

Huawei officially released the HarmonyOS system on June 2nd. In the first week, by June 9, this system already had over 10 million users. In two weeks, this operating system had over 18 million users. After a month of upgrade, HarmonyOS had over 25 million users. Before the end of July, this figure increased to over 40 million. In less than two months, as of early August, this operating system had over 50 million users. As of August 30th, HarmonyOS had over 70 million active users. However, a few days later (September, 2nd), the company announced that it has over 90 million users.

As of September 13th, HarmonyOS users officially exceeded 100 million. By September 27th, Huawei HarmonyOS users had increased to 120 million. Now, we have above 150 million users of this system most of which are in China. It is obvious that this system will have well over 300 million users before the end of this year. This upgrade is Huawei’s largest system update in its history.
