It looks like the Tecno Pova Neo is set to launch in India soon as the smartphone’s first teaser has surfaced online. The Shenzhen-based mobile phone manufacturer is prepping to bring its new Pova series smartphone into the Indian market. Last month, the company launched the entry-level smartphone in Nigeria. Now, Tecno Mobile India’s Twitter handle has hinted at the Tecno Pova Neo smartphone’s imminent launch in the country.
Despite teasing at the Tecno Pova Neo India launch, the company is still mum on the exact launch date of the handset in the country. To recall, the most notable feature of the phone’s Nigerian version is its robust 6,000mAh battery. The cell offers 18W fast charging support. Regrettably, details about the Tecno Pova Neo India version’s specifications are still scarce. Past leaks claim that the smartphone will pack a MediaTek chipset under the hood, and ship with 4GB of RAM.

In its latest tweet, Tecno Mobile India has indicated that the Tecno Pova Neo smartphone’s launch in India is right around the corner. Regrettably, the exact launch date is still a mystery. Furthermore, the tweet includes a short video that does not shed light on any vital piece of information of the phone’s India launch date, price, or even specifications. Despite the lack of an official confirmation, a Passionate Geekz suggests that Tecno will launch the Pova Neo in India later this month.

This speculation coincides with a separate report by GizNext that claims the phone will launch next week in the country. Furthermore, Passionate Geekz suggests that the Tecno Pova Neo will be available in a single 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model. Aside from that, the publication suggests that the phone will retail for INR 11,499 in the country. Interestingly, the Nigerian variant comes with 4GB RAM and offers 64GB of onboard storage capacity. Moreover, the report also hints at three color options including Powehi, Obsidian, and Geek Blue.

The Tecno Pova Neo smartphone sports a 6.82-inch display with a touch sampling rate of 120Hz and an HD+ (720 × 1640 pixels) resolution. Moreover, the display features a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 processor. This entry-level processor is paired with a competent PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It is worth mentioning here that the Nokia G10, Infinix Smart 5, Redmi 9A, and other entry-level phones pack the same processor.
Also, the Pova Neo houses two rear-mounted cameras, along with a quad flash setup. These include a 13MP main camera and an AI lens. The front panel has an 8MP snapper for capturing selfies. Aside from that, there are two front-mounted flashes for flawless selfies and clear video calls. The phone draws its juices from a 6,000mAh battery that offers 18W fast charging support. The rear panel also houses the fingerprint sensor. There’s a micro-SD card slot on the phone for storage expansion.
