Before the U.S. imposed its sanctions on Huawei, the company released two flagship lines a year. In the spring, top-end devices of the P series entered the market, and in the fall, it was the turn of the Mate fashion line. Models of the Mate series were the first to receive the company’s new flagship chip, a better display, a better camera and a whole set of innovations.

But last year, the company was forced to abandon the release of the Huawei Mate 50 series, postponing its release to 2022. And today we can see the concept of Huawei Mate 50; the design of which is consistent with Huawei Mate 40. A curved OLED panel with minimal bezels at the ends; and a round hole for the front camera was installed on the front panel.

On the back of the Huawei Mate 40, a black circle was installed with three image sensors and an LED flash in the center. It is expected that the sensors will include an ultra-wide and a periscope with a 5x optical zoom will work. Since cooperation with Leica has been terminated, the camera was not branded with the logo of the German company. Huawei Mate 50 images are from trusted sources. The final exterior may receive only minor differences, but the overall style will be just that.
