The rumor mill has been churning speculations surrounding the Lenovo Legion Y90 gaming phone’s imminent launch. However, Lenovo is still mum on the exact launch date of its upcoming gaming-centric handset.
Although Lenovo continues to keep details about the Lenovo Legion Y90 launch date under wraps, there have been several teasers for the gaming phone rolling out lately. This is a sign that the Lenovo Legion Y90 gaming smartphone’s launch date could be around the corner. The Chinese-American consumer electronics giant hasn’t tried to put these speculations to rest. Nevertheless, the Lenovo Legion Y90 has arrived on the TENAA certification website, revealing its specifications before launch.
Lenovo Legion Y90 TENAA Listing
The Lenovo Legion Y90 has popped up on the TENAA certification website carrying model number L71061. As expected, the TENNA listing has divulged some key specifications of the gaming smartphone. The listing suggests that the phone will sport a 6.9-inch AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ (2460×1080 pixels) resolution. Aside from that, the screen will provide a high refresh rate of 144Hz. Also, the listing suggests that the gaming phone will be available in gray, red, silver, gold, green, cyan, blue, white, and black color options.

On January 28, Lenovo Legion Y90 design renders and other features surfaced online courtesy of noted leaker Evan Blass. The design renders offer a glimpse of the handset’s awe-inspiring outward appearance. The TENAA listing, on the other hand, sheds more light on what the device could offer in terms of specifications. For instance, it reveals that the gaming phone will ship with 18GB, 16GB, 12GB, and 8GB of RAM. Past leaks suggest that the phone will reserve up to 4GB of virtual RAM. For onboard storage options, the Legion Y90 will offer 512GB, 256GB, and 128GB options.
What Else To Expect?
The phone’s rear panel seems to house two cameras. This rear-mounted camera island reportedly includes a 48MP or a 64MP primary lens. However, the TENAA listing suggests that the main camera will offer an 8-megapixel output, instead. There is a possibility that the listing is referring to the pixel-binned output. Aside from that, some reports suggest that the gaming phone will have a 16MP ultrawide camera at the back. However, the TENAA listing did not mention any such sensor.
Upfront, the Lenovo Legion Y90 will feature an 8MP shooter for selfies and video calling. Under the hood, it will pack a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which clocks at 2.995GHz. Furthermore, a robust 2,650mAh dual-cell battery (5,300mAh in total) will be powering up the entire system. Also, the cell will reportedly support 68W fast charging. Lastly, the dimensions of the upcoming handset are 177×78.1×10.9 and it weighs 252 grams.
