The upcoming OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G smartphone’s launch in India is right around the corner, according to a new leak. OnePlus is reportedly prepping to bring a MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC-powered Nord CE 2 smartphone into the Indian market. In a new development, another smartphone carrying the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G moniker has popped up on the internet as the latest entrant in the Nord CE 2 lineup. Moreover, the new leak sheds light on the OnePlus CE 2 Lite 5G specifications, features, and a slew of other details.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G Launch In India
OnePlus is reportedly on the verge of unveiling its Nord CE 2 Lite 5G smartphone in India. However, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is still mum on the handset’s exact launch date in the country. In collaboration with SmartPrix, noted leaker OnLeaks claims that the recently surfaced Nord CE series smartphone will sit below the Nord CE 2 model in India.

Under the hood, the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, according to the leak. Also, it is worth mentioning here that the chipset will enable the Nord CE 2 Lite to support 5G network. Aside from that, the device will be available in two storage options at launch. These include a base model that will ship with 6GB of RAM and sufficiently good 128GB storage. Aside from that, there will be a 6GB RAM+128GB storage variant as well. The phone could also come in an 8GB RAM+256GB storage model. In fact, OnePlus could announce an 8GB RAM+128GB storage variant as well.

Upfront, the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G sports a 6.59-inch fluid display with Full HD+ resolution. In other words, it will be a bigger phone than the CE 2 5G as far as size is concerned. To recall, earlier reports suggest that the Nord CE 2 5G will feature a 6.43-inch display. Furthermore, the Lite variant is likely to support a 90Hz refresh rate. A robust 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support will be powering up the entire system. For optics, the phone could house a triple rear camera setup.
Moreover, this rear-mounted camera island could house a 64MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and another 2MP sensor for macro shooting. Interestingly, the leak does not suggest that the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G will have an ultrawide camera. Nevertheless, the leaked specs claim that the phone will come with a 16MP front shooter for selfies and video calling. Regrettably, other details including the placement of the fingerprint scanner, and the availability of a 3.5mm headphone jack are still scarce. Also, the leak does not divulge details about the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite smartphone’s launch date in India.
Last month, a report indicated that the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G will go official on February 11. So, the Lite variant could see the light of the day around the same time. Moreover, shreds of vital information are likely to surface online in the coming days.
