We already know that Cupertino-based Apple will hold an event on March 8. At this conference, the tech giant will uncover a few much-anticipated models such as the refreshed iPad Air and a new iPhone SE. Though we call it the iPhone SE3 5G, there have been rumors saying the official name of this phone is the iPhone SE+ 5G. The initial price should be around $300. And though we are talking about a less impressive iPhone, the handset will boast the same A15 Bionic SoC, which can be found in the current top-end iPhones.
Some predictions for the coming new iPhone SE:
1. Mass production in Mar'22.
2. Estimated shipments of 25-30 mn units in 2022.
3. Storage: 64/128/256GB.
4. A15 & 5G support (mmW & Sub-6 GHz).
5. Casing: white, black, and red.

Of course, still, nothing official is known for the time being. But there are tipsters who always provide quite accurate information. The analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is one of them and recently he outlined his “predictions” for the new iPhone SE. Besides confirming the presence of the A15 chip, he also disclosed some other important pieces of information.

Particularly, Kuo said that the iPhone SE+ 5G will have 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage capacities. Plus, it will be available in three colors of White, Black, and Red. Once again, he confirmed that the phone will look identical to the iPhone SE (2020). But as you guess, now, it will support 5G networks (mmW and sub-6).
iPhone SE+ 5G Design
Yesterday, we showcased the latest high-res renders of the upcoming iPhone device. From the renders, we could see that the iPhone SE+ 5G will adopt the design of the previous generation. So on the front, there will be a 4.7-inch small screen. The overall design is also similar to that of the iPhone 8. Below the display, we can also find a round Home button.
Moreover, the rear panel has got almost no changes. There is a single camera and a logo slightly moved down and placed in the center.
And though this phone will look similar to the model launched a year ago, there is a surprise. The iPhone SE+ 5G is going to offer up to four colors – black, white, red, and green, of which green is a color that Apple has not used before.
Returning to Kuo’s predictions, the iPhone SE 2022 will enter mass production this month. Also, the company is planning to ship 25-30 million units in 2022.
p.s. the latest research showed that the iPhone SE 5G is not the most-awaited model of the upcoming event. People are eagerly waiting for the 27-inch iMac.
