OnePlus has a bunch of new devices to reveal pretty soon. The company will introduce the OnePlus 10R and the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G in the Indian market. For the next few months, the company seems to be also preparing yet another release for the OnePlus Nord 2T. As the name suggests, this is the first OnePlus Nord smartphone to become a T-series device. In this case, the OnePlus Nord 2T sounds like an incremental upgrade for the OnePlus Nord 2, whereas the OnePlus Nord CE 2 was a toned-down version of the same device. We expect the phone to get some incremental upgrades and arrive at the same or with a similar price tag.
According to leaks, the OnePlus Nord 2T will debut in May 2022. The device has been passing through a set of certifications in the past few days. It has been spotted on the TDRA certification website. Now, the smartphone also had its camera specifications leaked through the Camera FV5 website. The TRDA certification serves to confirm the model number and the smartphone’s moniker. The OnePlus Nord 2T has the model number CPH2399. The same handset has been spotted on the GCF Global Certification website. Furthermore, the device passed through multiple certifications which hints at an imminent release.

OnePlus Nord 2T camera details
The device also had its camera details confirmed through the Camera FV5 website. The website shows that the main camera will capture 12.6 images. According to the reports, the device will pack a 50 MP main camera, so the 12.6 MP images make sense with the Pixel-binning technology. The main camera will bring an f/1.9 aperture and a 24.6 mm focal length. The device will come with support for electronic image stabilization (EIS). However, it’s unclear if the phone will have optical image stabilization.
The OnePlus Nord 2T will also bring an 8 MP selfie snapper, but the phone will be advertised with a 32 MP snapper with an f/2.4 aperture. Other details of the phone include a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC. The device will have a triple-camera setup with a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide snapper, and a 2 MP monochrome shooter. The Nord 2T flaunts a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate. The panel has a top-left punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper. The handset draws its powers from a 4,500 mAh battery with 80 W fast-charging support. In terms of software, the phone will run Android 12 OS straight out of the box with OxygenOS 12.
The device’s design is completely different when compared to the Nord 2. We are curious to see if OnePlus will launch a OnePlus Nord 3, but we suspect that the company might move it forward to Q3 or Q4 2022.
