If past leaks are anything to go by, the Reno8 could turn out to be a more affordable version of the OnePlus 10 Pro. Aside from this, earlier reports suggest that the phone will pack a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset under the hood. The Reno8 could hit the store shelves in China in May. If this speculation proves to be true, it will be the first smartphone to feature a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. Moreover, Mukul claims that Oppo will be unveiling the Oppo Pad and a slew of other IoT devices at the Oppo Reno8 India launch event.

Oppo Reno8 India Launch Timeline & Expected Specs
The rumor mill has been churning out a lot of speculations surrounding the Oppo Reno8 smartphone’s specs and features. As if that weren’t enough, the phone has been subject to multiple leaks. To recall, the Oppo Reno8 renders had surfaced online back in January, giving us a glimpse into the handset’s alleged revamped design. Mukul suggests that the smartphone will sport a 6.55-inch OLED display with Full-HD+ resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate. However, another report by IndiaToday claims that the phone will come with a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen that offers Full HD resolution.
Aside from this, the display will probably feature a punch-hole cutout for the front shooter. It could pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor under the hood. Also, this processor could be paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. A robust 4,500mAh battery will be powering up the entire system. This cell will support 80W fast charging. Moreover, it is highly likely to adopt the same charging technology as the OnePlus 10 Pro. For optics, the Reno8 will have three rear-mounted cameras. These include a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera.
In addition to this, the rear panel will house an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro/depth sensor. Upfront, the phone will feature a 32MP selfie camera. Moreover, the Reno8 will run Android 12 OS with ColorOS 12 skin on top. It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner. However, it is worth mentioning here that Oppo has neither confirmed nor denied these speculations. So, readers should take these details with a grain of salt.
