The Tecno Phantom X smartphone is finally set to launch in Malaysia, following its debut in the Indian market last month. During a recently concluded launch event, Tecno Mobile confirmed that it is prepping to launch the Tecno Phantom X smartphone in Malaysia. To recall, the Shenzhen-based mobile phone manufacturer brought the Phantom X into the Indian market on April 29. However, the company made the handset available on the global market in June 2021, Notably, the company waited several months after launching the phone globally to bring it to India.

Now, the Tecno Phantom X is finally on the verge of going official in Malaysia as well. Notably, the Phantom X is the first premium offering from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer. So, Tecno Mobile is sparing no effort to create more hype surrounding the Tecno Phantom X Malaysia launch. As part of the plan, the company has roped in former Malaysian badminton player Lee Chong Wei as its brand ambassador. Tecno Malaysia CEO Taiman Zheng deems the Phantom X debut in the Southeast Asian country as a “significant achievement” for the company, as per a report by Business Today.

The upcoming Phantom X adopts an eye-catching 3D Borderless Screen design. Moreover, it comes with a silk glass back cover, which is an industry’s first. Its ergonomic design delivers an unparalleled golden angle of 36.5 degrees for improved grip. The phone sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED that offers an FHD+ resolution. Also, the phone draws its power from a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset. It ships with 8GB and 3GB of RAM and offers a hearty 256GB of onboard storage.

Aside from this, the rear panel has an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a field of view of 120 degrees. Lastly, the rear-mounted camera setup accommodates a 13MP telephoto sensor with a 50mm lens. Upfront, the phone has a 48MP Ultra-Clear shooter for selfies and video calling.
Other notable feature includes an under-display fingerprint scanner and Android 11 OS with HIOS 7.6 OS on top. Moreover, you can choose between Monet’s Summer and Van Gogh’s Starry Night Blue color options. The handset also bagged a coveted award at the iF Design Awards 2022. The sole 8+3GB RAM+256GB storage model will be available in Malaysia for RM1499.
