The days of the Pocophone F1 are gone, and POCO has pretty much become “a brand of rebrands”. After all, most of the phones released under POCO’s name are based on existing Xiaomi or Redmi devices. There were many expectations for the POCO X4 series, however, the POCO X4 Pro ended up being just a rebranded Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G. The lineup, obviously, won’t be made of a single smartphone. POCO is now gearing up to introduce a POCO X4 GT. The device will serve as a successor to the last year’s POCO X3. The device will also be part of the new 2022 “GT” range that already has the POCO F4 GT across global markets.
The POCO X4 GT has now been spotted at the IMDA and EEC certifications. The device has already passed through the IMEI database. Apparently, POCO is clearing the necessary steps for the phone’s release. We won’t be surprised to see this phone getting a release pretty soon. The upcoming POCO device will carry a 22041216G model number that has been spotted on the IMDA certification database. As per a recent report, this model number belongs to the global variant of the POCO X4 GT. A phone with the same model number has also passed through the EEC (European Economic Community) certification in the Russian market.

The IMDA website reveals that the POCO X4 GT will be a 5G supported smartphone offering support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC. These are recurring features among Xiaomi smartphones anyway and are rather obvious in the current market.
POCO X4 GT possible specifications
Unfortunately, details are rather scarce on the POCO X4 GT specifications. However, a report suggests it will be a rebranded Redmi Note 11T Pro. No surprises for that user to POCO’s strategy. If that is indeed the case, then the POCO X4 GT will ship with the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC. However, it will probably be cheaper than the majority of phones shipping with this SoC. The phone will come in two configurations – 8 GB of RAM with 128 GB of Internal Storage, and 8 GB of RAM with 256 GB of Internal Storage. In terms of software, the phone will obviously run MIUI 13 straight out of the box and Android 12 will be the underlying software. We can also expect 67 W or 120 W fast-charging.
