Cydia Blocked By China Unicom


Having problems connecting to Cydia over China Unicom’s 3G service with your iPhone 4 or 3GS? Well that’s because China Unicom have blocked the Cydia servers!

It’s not just China Unicom either, 3 in the UK and Ireland have also reportedly blocked the popular Cydia store, which allows access to both unique and hacked iPhone applications for jailbroken devices.

iPhone users relying on Cydia for updates will get a message saying ‘Host Unreachable’ if their network has blocked the store, however users shouldn’t worry as regadless of whether your network has blocked Cydia over 3G you should still be able to access and update you apps over WIFI.
