The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Unlike its predecessor which uses Samsung’s process, the SD8 Gen2 will use TSMC’s 4nm process. The chip will debut in the fourth quarter of the year. MediaTek will also release Dimensity 9000/8000 iterative chips, which will also use TSMC’s 4nm process.
