Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, is currently working on its latest Android skin, MIUI 14. A few days ago, some information about the upcoming MIUI 14 system hit the public domain. Some tech enthusiasts were able to decompile the relevant information of MIUI 14 fields in the code base. After decompiling the code, it revealed two devices’ codenames which are “Nuwa” and “Fuxi”. According to the reports, “Nuwa” and “Fuxi” are currently testing the MIUI 14 system.Ā After the comparison and inspection, netizens believe that these smartphones “Nuwa” and “Fuxi” are likely in the Xiaomi 13 series.
Both names “Nuwa” and “Fuxi” have links to Chinese mythology and culture respectively. Available information from an encyclopedia reveals that Nuwa is the goddess of creation in Chinese mythology. Furthermore, Fuxi is the founder of Chinese culture, one of the “Three Emperors”. At a time were Xiaomi fans are expecting the MIUI 13.5 system, there is already information about the MIUI 14 system.
MIUI 14 is coming
Furthermore, popular Weibo tech blogger, @DCS launched a topic on Weibo “What to expect from MIUI 14”. This raises the discussion that the MIUI 14 system is coming soon. Unexpectedly, some developers dug out the traces of MIUI 14 in the code base again. Just like the previous reports, two devices (Nuwa and Fuxi) are currently testing the system. Thus, there is no doubt that MIUI 14 is already in testing.Ā Whatās more interesting is that some media even speculates that MIUI 14 will be official on August 16. This date is actually the 12th anniversary of MIUIās release. However, this is only a speculation. What is most probable is that MIUI 14 will arrive with the Xiaomi 13 series which should launch in November or December this year.
MIUI 14 to bring a new design language
The latest report on the MIUI 14 system is information on its design. Xiaomiui.netĀ Ā found some new improvements in MIUI 14 Early Beta 22.7.19 and said that MIUI 14 would usher in a new design language. Below are some of the features and relevant screenshots

Furthermore, Xiaomi code shows that MIUI 14’s clock app will be allowed to be uninstalled. The code also reveals thatĀ MIUI 14 will support Qualcomm LE Audio Bluetooth audio technology. Xiaomiui.net claims that MIUI 14 will arrive together with Xiaomi 13 at the end of 2022. It also reveals the list of smartphones that will get the MIUI 14 update.
It is worth mentioning that Qualcomm recently announced that this year’s Snapdragon Summit will be held from November 15th to 17th. If nothing else, Xiaomi 13 will be one of the first models to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The CPU/GPU architecture will get some upgrades and the performance/power consumption will be better.
