Chinese manufacturing giant, Huawei, is working on the launch of its latest flagship series, the Huawei Mate 50 series. According to reports, the company will announce this series on August 17th. Popular Weibo tech blogger, @DCS reports that the Huawei Mate 50 series will launch BOE’s new flexible screen. This screen adopts a diamond-like arrangement, adopts LTPO technology, and supports 1 – 120Hz refresh rate adaptation. This display is comparable to the ProMotion of Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro series, which can also achieve a 1Hz refresh rate and support for screen display.
Not only that, the Huawei Mate 50 series screen supports up to 2160PWM high-frequency dimming. The new substrate reduces power consumption by 15% compared to the previous generation. This increases the service life by 10% and reduces harmful blue light below 6.0%. In addition, based on this screen, Huawei Mate 50 Pro has a curved notch solution. It supports 3D face recognition and payment by swiping your face.

In terms of core configuration, Huawei Mate 50 series comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 4G processor. This chip does not support 5G network but supports 66W wired fast charging.
