Apple China sold 380 million iPhone smartphones in 10 years

Apple iPhone 12

The iPhone has been born 15 years ago, and during this period, Apple has launched a total of 34 models. From the first-generation iPhone released in 2007 to the iPhone 13 series released in 2021, the shape of the smartphone has also undergone significant changes.

Looking back at the past 34 models, according to media statistics, Apple has sold a total of 380 million units in China, which is indeed an achievement.

34 iPhone models have already been released and Chinese people love iPhone 6

In 2011, Apple shipped 10.03 million units in China; in 2012, it shipped 23.82 million units, and it has continued to grow since then, reaching a peak of 58.38 million units in 2015. The reason why that year was the peak is that the iPhone 6 series was very successful, at least in terms of sales.

Subsequently, iPhone sales in the Chinese market began to slowly decline, falling to 27.5 million in 2019. But it has seen rapid growth since then. With iPhone shipments increasing to 34.4 million in 2020 and 50.4 million in 2021.

Of course, one of the most important factors in the surge in iPhone sales in the past two years is the sudden increase in cost. In the context of global inflation, flagship Android phones have risen in price one after another. To a level almost identical to Apple’s cost, so sales have naturally increased.
