In less than two weeks, Apple will be presenting the brand new iPhone 14 series. The rumors have been floating around for several months, and the fact is that we probably know almost everything now coming with these devices. Perhaps, Apple will not have many surprises to show at its Far Out conference scheduled for September 7. The new iPhone 14 series is splitting the lineup into “less flagship” and “more flagship”. The new iPhone 14 and 14 Max will be basic upgrades over the current iPhone 13 gent. The iPhone 14 Max is the most obvious addition since it’s new bigger vanilla that ditches the failed mini variant. These devices will pack the usual notch design, same cameras, and will have the same Apple A15.
4 Top Features allegedly coming with iPhone 14 series
The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max compose the “real deal” for those expecting upgrades. For instance, the new Pro models will bring the punch-hole design for the notch that resembles an exclamation mark. Furthermore, they are coming with Apple A16 SoC, 48 MP main cameras, and some exclusive iOS 16 features. There are many more features that will make the iPhone 14 series stand against the competition. Through this article, based on MacRumors‘ report, there are, at least, four interesting features coming with the new devices. And you can see them listed below.
Satellite Communication
According to a recent report from Bloomberg, Apple is working on satellite connectivity. In fact, this feature has been rumored to make way to the iPhone series the last year. Rumors have been pointing to this as one of the launch features of the iPhone 13. However, it was ultimately scrapped, or in other words, didn’t happen. Now, the iPhone 14 series may finally bring this feature.
The satellite communication system will allow users to send texts in emergency situations and report major emergencies in areas where there is no cellular coverage. As per expert insiders, Apple plans to introduce its satellite connectivity capabilities for the iPhone 14 during its September 7 event. Apple is likely partnering with Globalstar for the feature.
Gizchina News of the week
Vapor Chamber for Thermal Efficiency
Gaming is an undeniable tendency on smartphones. As usual, games will take more of your GPU and CPU’s powers. Hence they generate more heat due to their stressful execution. According to the analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will introduce a new vapor chamber thermal system for heat management with the high-end iPhones.
Perhaps, that will reach only the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. These are the only ones coming with the new A16 Bionic chip. The lower-end models will pack the A15 Bionic. Therefore, Apple will keep the ongoing thermal system for these cheaper models.
2 TB of Internal Storage
With the launch of the iPhone 13 Pro, Apple has started offering customers 1 TB of Internal Storage. So far, some rumors point out the inclusion of a 2 TB variant. However, you need to digest this with one or even two pinches of salt. After all, there is no other company offering 2 TB of Internal Storage right now.
Apple certainly is not known for being the first to kick off new memory tendencies. Anyway, the rumors say that the company may finally ditch the 64 GB of its iPhones, offering 128 GB as a base.
Wi-Fi 6E
The latest iPhones, Macs, and iPads support Wi-Fi 6. It’s relatively new, but it’s not the most advanced, after all the enhanced Wi-Fi 6E is already available. It offers faster speeds and better capabilities to handle high-capacity workloads.
The iPhone 13 series did not bring Wi-Fi 6E, but we presume the iPhone 14 series may end up bringing it, or at least, the Pro models. Worth noting, that even today, Wi-Fi 6E is not widely available on smartphones. Just a small portion of Android devices offer it, and most of them are in the premium segment.
More surprises coming with the iPhone 14 series launch
For sure, these are strong rumors that may result in an outstanding iPhone 14 series. However, we need to digest some of them with a pinch of salt. Furthermore, we may end up being surprised by other appealing features. Thankfully, we won’t need to wait much longer to know all the cool features coming within the new iDevices.
Besides the new iPhone 14 series, Apple’s Far Out event will also introduce the Apple Watch Series 8, a new Apple Watch Pro with a rugged or durable build, and a rumored SE model.
