GTA 6 has been the talk of the town for a couple of days. But the reason is not its launch (actually, it’s scheduled not to come earlier than 2024-2025). We guess you have already taken a look at myriads of leaked materials revealing various details about the upcoming blockbuster. What’s more interesting, there have been many guesses about who stands behind this. This is logical that people were interested in the bad actor. We mean, this is the most significant game leak in history. Today, we learned that a 16-year-old teenager caused the stir.
A famous hacker and owner of the hacker forum BreachForums, “pompompurin” disclosed the hacker’s identity in the GTA 6 leak. He said that the culprit was the 16-year-old teapotuberhacker, the head of the cybercrime team Lapsus$. It admitted to hacking Rockstar and showed evidence in a Telegram chat. Unfortunately, the chat was quickly deleted. So we can’t provide the Telegram URL.

Besides GTA 6, He Stands Behind Many Cybercrimes
The hacker group Lapsus$ has been involved in multiple hacking incidents since the end of last year. Many technology companies, including Microsoft, Samsung, Nvidia, and Ubisoft, have been attacked by the group. Not surprisingly, the hacker group stated that its main target is money. Thus, they have political purposes and are not sponsored by anyone. Previously, London police have managed to arrest several team members of this hacking group. They all were teenagers.
It is worth mentioning that Uber also said it was recently attacked by Lapsus$ and is now in contact with the FBI and the US Department of Justice.
Earlier today, Rockstar issued a statement admitting that all those materials available on various platforms are genuine and belong to the GTA 6 game. However, they also said that this leak wouldn’t have a long-term impact on their ongoing project.
