Microsoft unveils two Teams-certified accessories: audio dock and presentation remote


At the Ignite 2022 technology conference, Microsoft officially unveils two new accessories. These two accessories come with Teams certification and will improve the mixed meeting experience. The two accessories are Microsoft Audio Dock and Microsoft Presenter Plus Remote Control.

Microsoft Audio Dock

The Microsoft Audio Dock is an all-in-one speaker system with a pass-through PC charger. This device can connect and charge a PC via USB Type-C (3.2 Gen 2) at up to 60W. It also comes with four different ports including HDMI, USB Type-A, and two USB Type-C. This means that users can connect two monitors with HDMI and USB Type-C connections. The base provides dual front-facing microphones with noise reduction. There are also control buttons on the top of the device to display your microphone status. 

Microsoft Audio Dock

The Microsoft Audio Dock is certified by Microsoft Teams and has a dedicated Teams button. Thus button will help to quickly join a meeting and raise your hand to speak. The speakers on the audio dock carry Microsoft’s Omnisonic branding. This is the same branding as those in Microsoft’s Surface devices. The base has a 15-watt woofer and a 5-watt tweeter. The Microsoft Audio Dock will be available on October 25 for $250.

Microsoft Presenter Plus

The Microsoft Presenter Plus is a handheld remote that allows users to easily join Teams meetings. It can also be used with other meeting applications such as PowerPoint, Prezi or Keynote. Users can present slides with the remote control, mute or unmute themselves at the touch of a button.

Microsoft Presenter Plus

There is a built-in on-screen pointer to direct attendees’ attention to specific areas of the presentation. Other features of the Microsoft Presenter Plus remote include the same mute indicator as on the audio base. Raise your hand to speak by pressing and holding the dedicated Teams button in a Teams meeting.

Microsoft Presenter Plus

The remote is connected via Bluetooth for a wireless connection distance of up to 32 feet (about 10 meters). The Presenter Plus remote will be priced at $79.99.
