The highly anticipated Vivo Y02 smartphone could be headed to India after hitting store shelves in Indonesia last month. To those unaware, Vivo launched the Y02 smartphone in Indonesia on November 29.
The budget smartphone will succeed the company’s well-received Vivo Y01. Regrettably, the company is still mum on its plan to bring the handset into the Indian market.
Still, tipster Paras Guglani claims the Vivo Y02 smartphone’s India launch is likely to take place later this week. Paras shared this piece of vital information with MySmartPrice.
The Vivo Y02 images suggest the Indian variant will retain the design and specs of the Indonesian model. Moreover, Guglani claims the Vivo Y02 smartphone’s price in India will be under INR 9,000.
Vivo Y02 India Launch
According to Guglani, the handset could retail for INR 8,449 with Vivo offering a launch offer of INR 1,000 cashback. To recap, the Vivo Y02 was launched last month with a price tag of $95. This converts roughly to INR 7,700.
Notably, the marketing material suggests the Y02 will feature a 6.51-inch Halo FullView Display with an HD+ resolution. Also, the handset will adopt a 2.5D unibody design, coupled with a flat frame.

The images also confirm the handset will come in the Orchid Blue color option. However, the report suggests it will be available in Cosmic Grey as well.
The Y02 will reportedly use a 5000mAh battery to draw its juices. The handset is 8.49mm thick and has a circular camera module on the rear panel. Upfront, the phone houses an 8MP shooter with an LED flash.
Under the hood, the Y02 packs a MediaTek Helio P22 processor. In India, the phone will ship with 3GB of RAM and offer 32GB of internal storage.
To those unaware, Vivo recently unveiled its first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-backed smartphone dubbed X90 Pro+. The Y02 will boot Android 12 (Go Edition) with FunTouchOS 12 on top. Lastly, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack. I think the Vivo Y02 will gain huge popularity among budget-conscious buyers in India.
