Moto X40 gets 3C certification ahead of December 15 launch

The upcoming Moto X40 smartphone has been spotted on China’s 3C certification website ahead of its imminent launch. Notably, Motorola is prepping to launch the X40 in China later this month.

Ahead of the launch, the Moto X40 has surfaced on the Compulsory Certification of China website database. Notably, the handset’s 3C certification listing corroborates previously leaked specifications.

Motorola recently announced that the Moto X40 will go official in China on December 15. Now, industry sources have confirmed to MyFixGuide that the X40 has appeared on China’s 3C certification website.

The Moto X40 carries model number XT2301-5 on the 3C website. Also, the website reveals details about two chargers. First, the 3C website shows a 68W charger with a 20V/3.4A output and model number MC-688N.

Aside from this, the 3C listing includes a 125W gallium nitride (GaN) charger. This charger has model number MC-1258, and it has an output of 20V/6.25A.

Moto X40 Appears On 3C Certification Website

According to the data, the Moto X40 could offer up to 125W fast charging support. Regrettably, the 3C listing does not divulge any other key detail about the X40.

However, Lenovo’s mobile phone business department’s GM Chen Jin recently divulged key details about the X40. According to Chen, the X40 will support IP68 dust and water resistance.

Earlier reports also suggest the Moto X40 will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Moreover, Motorola has confirmed that the handset will use a 4,600mAh battery with 125W fast charging support.

Also, Motorola is gearing up to unveil MyUI 5.0 at the Moto X40 launch event on December 15. The handset scored 13,12,901 benchmark points on the AnTuTu benchmark.

Notably, the X40 will be reportedly available in 8GB RAM+128GB storage and 12GB RAM+256GB storage configurations.

According to China’s TENAA website, the X40 will get Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Moreover, the device will come with LPDDR5X RAM.

The report claims the X40 will have a hole-punch display cutout for the selfie camera. For optics, the handset will feature three rear-mounted cameras.
