The Oppo Find N2 Flip will be updated until Android 17

Oppo Find N2 Flip

Oppo has introduced the Oppo Find N2 Flip to global markets today. The device comes with the hard task of dethroning, or at least, conquering some of the fans of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series. Oppo is really interested in direct competition with Samsung. The brand knows that to win a battle against the Koreans, it will need to offer more than just hardware. Samsung has evolved quite a lot to become one of the best, if not the best, brands when it comes to software support. To fight in an adequate form, Oppo has committed to up to four major Android updates and five years of security updates for the Oppo Find N2 Flip.

Oppo Find N2 Flip will get four major Android updates

Considering the new commitment, the Oppo Find N2 Flip will get Android 14, Android 15, Android 16, and Android 17. That’s a massive improvement for a brand that is not known for long-term support. Also, the security updates will reach the device until 2028. The world will probably be dominated by AI and the Oppo Find N2 Flip will still be getting security updates. Putting the jokes aside, that’s an excellent way to conquer the confidence of global customers, especially when the smartphone has a Dimensity 9000+.

Usually, devices with MediaTek chipsets tend to lag behind Qualcomm phones when it comes to Android updates. However, this has been changing in recent years. So, if you have been concerned with the choice of the Dimensity 9000+, Oppo is granting that major Android updates won’t be a problem. This is the same level of software that comes with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4. This is one more thing that counts in favor of the Find N2 Flip. The device has larger inner and outer displays, a bigger battery, and faster charging. It’s soon to take conclusions, but Oppo seems to be in the right direction. The brand aims to conquer global customers with its foldable phone.
