Chinese phones are notorious for their high specifications and low-pricing, but also their difficulty to obtain and odd network compatibility! So we ask GizChina readers “Which Chinese phone do you use in your country?”
Why Chinese smartphones?
Savvy tech lovers around the world are beginning to take notice of the Chinese smartphone market. There are some great phones to be had and prices are much more appealing than those from big name brands we are most use to seeing. Innovation is another area Chinese phones standout from the crowd! When was the last time we saw Samsung or Apple make something truly unique?
Which Chinese phone do you use in your country?
So, after learning about the Chinese smartphone industry, the models available and the specifications that can be had at much lower prices, which Chinese smartphone did you choose?
Gizchina News of the week
Perhaps you are a veteran of Chinese phones, or maybe you haven’t bought one just yet, either way we would love to hear which phone you have chosen and why?
We would also like to hear where to are based and if your Chinese phone has any compatibility issues with the carriers you use. Does your JiaYu G4 work on Orange in the UK? Your Xiaomi Mi3 picking up 3G on Verizon? Or perhaps you are looking for a Chinese phone which will work with a specific carrier?

I am from India and i would love to have a MX3 or Mi3 but for customers outside china they are rather expensive. As you may or may not know about Moto G, (idk why anyone on this site posted about that phone) its a great smartphone, with a trusted brand name, huge support and development. It scores 17k+ in antutu and 8k+ in quadrant with a 720p display. Its a perfect budget device for me or anyone else, Motorola has announced that G will be launchdd in India in Jan with a dual sim variant. I love chinese smart phones, but due to their non availability outside china, high price and almost no support that breaks the deal for me. So If i want to buy a phone, i will be betting my money on Moto G.
I use my Neo N003 Advanced in New Zealand and have found it to work very well. It was easy to customise and is a fast, full featured phone that does everything I need it to. I have also found everybody to be impressed with it when they handle it, and surprised that such a good quality phone cost only $400 NZD. People are slowly learning that Chinese manufactured goods aren’t all rubbish, and that mainstream retail brands are no longer an economical option.
same for me , NEO N003 youth ,using on the 3 network uk and with talkmobile (vodafone) sim as back up,i get on average 6mbs speed thats faster than my home broadband . had two friends buy one after seeing mine , gps is also good here.
I also use Neo N003 Advanced and Basic together in Turkey 🙂
Oppo Find5, all day, erryday.
> Unique square, minimalist design. Vastly more aesthetically pleasing than my previous major manufacturer phones
> The software is again minimal and aesthetic, especially since the latest ColorOS update
> Genuinely useful features added to Android: Double tap to wake, etc.
Never said your country bud. 😛
I use a freshly arrived ZTE V987 here in france. It comes with strong 900/2100 wcdma wich is a must have for many carriers.
Everything works amazingly good on this phone and screen is surprisingly beautiful for this range of price.
The only drawback is its fragility I think. the phone is clearly not enough rigid imo. It can lead into breaking screen I think.
For the same price as my friend’s samsungs, I could buy this phone and a tablet, a gamepad, an 8000mAh external battery, lots of cables and accesories. I still have spare money for beers!
hah, ZTE U985
fragile? put a rigid jacket on it? i forget the name for them. i’ve been in Ensenada Baja Cal for two years. forgetting my english.
Same phone here in Finland, it was chosen based on the frequency bands, screen and battery size. So far I’ve been really satisfied with the phone. Negative thing is that it does feel fragile after my old Nokia N8.

How is this phone? I’m thinking about maybe buying this large screen phone (6.5″ correct?) as a replacement for my Umi X2, which has a cracked screen after I was bumped dropped it on the sidewalk.
How is the build quality of the u650? Quality of the display? Any lag? Weak GPS reception? Comments would be much appreciated.
Zopo C2 Platinum in Canada. Love the phone, works well with Rogers, but not Bell.
ThL w200 in Mexico and I love it!!
Zopo C2 Platinum in New Zealand on vodafone, Great I love it.

My brother: Huawei Ascend G615

UMI X1 in Oz. Works great on Vodaphone GSM network on 2G and 3G. In the beginning, had issue with GPS, but was fixed with a new internal GPS ant installed. Phone is great – my friend got a HTC One was very impress with the display – especially learnig that it cost only half of his!
My wife uses a Vivo X1, which functions well on the Telstra 3G network. Previously used on the Vodafone network, which runs very poorly where we live.
My wife and I use the Zopo ZP 900 Leader! I opted not to upgrade us to Quad Cores and just go straight to Octa Cores instead.
We live in the U.S. and we’re using H2O Wireless for our U.S. service and BMobile for our home country service. Home is The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Both SIM’s function flawlessly on the AT&T Network.
Initially our U.S. Provider was Simple Mobile and they opperated off of the T-Mobile network. We never had any service issues with them we switched only because we’re getting a better deal with an H2O subscription.
I am not into contracts and paying data fees so thats why i chose the MVNO route! At $60 per month I can do exactly everything that my co-worker does on his $180 per month plan. Except of course my Andriod is an unlocked full version and his is limited to the discreations of his provider.
I am loyal to any brand and service that serves me best with what i need so i am watching Zopo closely to see what their new device/s would bring to the table of specs and price.
I use Zopo zp 950 plus in my country Saudi Arabia. Working great. I have ordered also for Neken N6. I love Chinese phones. Much better and cheaper than the so called big names.
MLais MX58 PRO, Belgium, Mobileviking here! 😉
Zopo C2 platinum white in Jamaica . Pretty decent with gizchina rom. Need larger battery and ram and brighter flash for the new model.
been using neo n003 basic since early october and bought a zte 967s for my wife 3 weeks ago. purchased through ali express (neo – usd210, zte – usd132) and both are working fine, 3G-wise and GPS-wise! gave our old xperias (u and miro) to our kids. digi network, malaysia.
Jiayu g2s, g3s, g4 basic. Nice design, well build, no complaint whatsoever – Indonesia (tried them using indosat, telkomsel, axis with no problem – some place the 3g may drop since they only support wcdma 2100- but not often)

Hi from Peru. I use an already old Star that I think is a generic name. It is dual sim and limited to 2G, but works with the two carriers here.
I’d like to buy a zopo but my concern is that I am used to the back key in the left corner. Another option could be to buy an htc one or Samsung note with dual sim support to use in China, apparently the engineers there can change them to include a Multilanguage ROM.

This is the best phone I have had so far (and I have had a few). I bought it from ibuygou.com this summer, upgrading from the Mi2, and it arrived in 3 days. It will take a beast of a phone to get me to switch device for a long time. I love the size of the device and the fact that every week there is a new ROM with awesome new features. I highly recommend this phone.
Huawei Ascend P1, Russia. Great phone with worst support.
Gionee GBW192 aka Polytron W8470. Good phone, bad online support.
JIAYU G3
H7500+=Zopo ZP810 in Slovakia. Great phone for that price + great firmware support from Zopo. The camera is better than in C2/ZP980, great battery life
Huawei Ascend P6 in Romania. A very good raport quality/price but, till now, weak support

I use Neo N003 1/4 in Ukraine and it works, but gps is no working at all even after fixes. I had used Zopo zp100, Jiayu G3 and Thl W3+ and Zopo C2.

Currently my phone is a Sony Ericsson Aino and a HP Veer. To combine the two sim cards I need a dual sim phone. At the moment i keep an eye on the Xiaomi Hongmi, but it’s pretty hard to find a deal with an affordable price here in Germany.
I would really like to know what smartphones do our admins and mods actually use.

The Find 5 and Mi2S for me! Currently in a fix as to which one gets to be my daily driver!
I still fancy a Find 5

Grettings from Romania, daily use Xiaomi Mi2s and Mi1s since january this year, Jiayu G2s, Haier W910( for outdoor activities). So far i like the Xiaomi design, i think is the best smartphone in 4.3″ form factor, good camera, long lasting battery( wlan, gps, edge always on), out of the box fast and stable, no need for custom rom, OTA updates.
Cheers,

Using the Find 5 and Xiaomi Mi2S, would love to lay my hands on the Meizu MX3! The Find 5 is something you want, while the Mi2S is what you need. Had an UMi X1 earlier which wasn’t all that impressive.
Country: India.
which xiaomi mi3 will work in india the snapdragon or the other one. have no knowledge but really would like to buy one.
also is MI3 better than find 5
The Snapdragon 800 variant, because it will come with WCDMA support.
thanks, but you did not answer MI 3 or Find 5
Mi3 comes with a more powerful processor, so Mi3.
thanks so mi3 it will be
hi yash, first of all thanks for all the help. does the oppo find 5 have FM radio
also is the INEW V3 a good mid range phone
We will be reviewing one shortly
hi andi could you also answer whether the oppo find 5 has fm radio. could you also compare it with the jiayu s1 or s2
Who has lots money (SETH) he/she can buy Find5/Mi2S in India 😀
From where exactly did you buy the oppo and mi2s bro??
Last i checked on ebay… mi2s was way too expensive…
I too am looking to buy a phone… but am confused…
None! Unfortunately, due to the US’ bullheadedness, to do everything different than the rest of the world, over and over again, the current Chinese phones with their very limited 3G, and almost non-existing LTE band support, are pretty much useless in the US with their screwed up spectrum use and running 2 incompatible standards in parallel: Sprint and Verizon (CDMA) vs. AT&T and T-mobile (GSM, W-CDMA).
If one doesn’t want to be stuck with 2G GSM-only and EDGE, then there isn’t much joy with with those phones with 3G, let alone LTE here at all.
So no, until those Chinese phones also support at least 5-band radio units, so that the odd North-American bands used by AT&T and T-mobile are covered as well, GSM alone just isn’t cut it anymore
I feel you there. It is annoying that a lot of our frequencies don’t match up with much of the rest of the world. Fortunately I am a very limited data user. I only use EDGE to send the occasional text message through Google Voice. Hopefully future Chinese phones will support our wonky US standards.
Are there any supporting US carriers now? Searching, found the UleFone Be Pro, not sure if it is or not, it seems so.

Lenovo A830
TCL A506
ZTE Geek V975 Intel z2580. Country: Indonesia, operator: Telkomsel. Works great only googleplay can’t update & using aptoide instead.
Find 5 and Huawei U8150 IDEOS.Kenya Safaricom Network, also works fine on Airtel and YU Networks as they are unlocked devices.
HUAWEI phones are actually locally available, though they do take their sweet time with stocking Safaricom Shops here in Kenya [only available from the carrier]. The models currently available are the Ascend P6,Ascend W1 and Ascend Y210. The Ascend Y300 made a brief appearance, flew off shelves and was never ever restocked.Their OTAs never get here too.
Pretty much all Chinese WCDMA phones work here, with lots of rebadges like Techno,iTel,Q7 Mobile, etc but they are all shitty basement level tech out to make a quick buck, except for Techno as of late, seem to have changed OEM to something more decent. Even Safaricom is stocking them now.
The Find 5 or Xiaomi devices is the kind of phone you just wish was locally available. If you want a premium device it is either a Samsung,LG or a Sony, then either a Lumia or a grossly marked up iPhone.People are wondering how Samsung make all that money, just come here and see. They have almost no competition at any pricerange, everyone is walking around with a Sammy. Before that everyone had a Nokia, and back then they were rich. If any Chinese manufacturer can do what Huawei and ZTE have failed to do [ZTE make Orange network branded phones, but the local ones are shittier than the France ones] and just be here on day one with awesome tech with an awesome value for money,no matter the price, just a good deal,Kenyans will buy it. Bring us a year old phone with last years flagship pricetag, and it’ll eat dust on shelves. Ask Nokia, they know.
The Y300 has made a return,it is back in stock again. Hopefully we’ll also see the Honor 3,as they totally skipped us with the Honor 2.

Alcatel(TCL) idol x single sim. It is priced around 300eur in my country. It is the best phone in this price range i could get.
Using Xiaomi Mi2, tested/testing:Xiaomi Hongmi TD, Hongmi W
Last year I searched for a High End small form factor device <125mm and the price should be lower than 500 euro.
At the end I could choose between the Oppo Finder XT907 and the Xiaomi Mi2.
I choose for the "new brand" Xiaomi with a quad-core cpu. It was difficult to get one, but I purchased one through a Dutch guy who works in China.
I'm using my Mi2 more than 10 months in The Netherlands I have tested it on the T-mobile and Vodafone network without any problems.
XIaomi Hongmi TD: Internet not available for Vodafone, but 2G works on T-mobile network
XIaomi Hongmi W: Full 3G/UMTS works on T-mobile and Vodafone sim. Internet works on both simcards (even in the GSM slot).
I really hope Xiaomi will bring out another small High End phone, because the Mi3 is way to big and it has many competitors (like the new ZTE Nubia Z5s).
If I wanted to buy a new phone right now, then it would be the 4,3" Sony Xperia Z1f/Z1s.

Had a Newman N2.
It had top notch specs for the time I bought it. Had some software issues at the start and hardware issue of an overheated corner of the display, looked a bit different than the rest. Also two to three restarts in a week. Battery lasted very long though and it ran smooth as f. But because of the problems listed above, I cant recommend it.
O2 for Germany worked fine.
Newman came out of the blocks strong, shame they have faded away
I use a Jiayu G3 in the Netherlands in combination with a Hollands Nieuwe (Vodafone) Sim only for over a year now without any problem.

It is a value for money phone, I bought it 4 months ago for about 160$. Great Lenovo quality with quadcore processor and excellent battery life. JIAYU G3
H7500+=Zopo ZP810 in Slovakia. Great phone for that price + great firmware support from Zopo. The camera is better than in C2/ZP980, great battery life
Huawei Ascend P6 in Romania. A very good raport quality/price but, till now, weak support
Me: CUBOT gt99 and
Brother:Tronsmart TS7
Country: Kenya..that’s right Kenya..
looking to purchase an octa-core early next year..
Plenty of octa-cores to choose from 🙂 which one are you looking at?
not yet decided..waiting for some heavy performance/gaming/benchmarking reviews..
preferably 8-core, at least 2gb ram, 1080p,13 mp camera,4.7-5inch gorilla/asahi glass, not cloned and good build quality..among other stuff
Hey man,I was really tempted to pull the trigger on this phone but the build quality seemed off to me back then. How is the Cubot? Compared to techno phantom which is better?
build quality is good…not that great compared to the Jiayu’s(not too far behind) but definitely better than the Techno Phantom +(phantom seems flimsy and bendable)…also its only 4.5 inch, great display, real 13mp and 2 mp,has a bunch of modded stock roms, good support e.t.c…instead of the gt99 id recommend u get the cubot p9 or one..those should match the Jiayu and Zopo..e.t.c
At the moment i may just go with an 8 core updated Neo N003,or the Advanced quad core. It is either that or JiaYu G4 Advanced, because even though I like the G5,I don’t like that I have to buy the bigger battery and suffer a hideous backplate. There’s no hurry to get one though,as I’m also waiting to see the Find 7 so I have till around January to decide. Mostly just need a dual sim to go with a snapdragon powerhouse when I upgrade.
I use Neo N003 1/4 in Ukraine and it works, but gps is no working at all even after fixes. I had used Zopo zp100, Jiayu G3 and Thl W3+ and Zopo C2.
Xiaomi mi2s in israel i have the phone 4 days so far so good
Italy, yiayu G4A.not bad GPS posizion, I use only one card H3G works fine.powerfull battery 3000 mA.sometimes if I m in roaming the phone spends 2-3 min to back in H3G network
OPPO Find 5 with a sim-only plan. Saves me around €20 a month on a 2/3 year contract. I choose the Find 5 for both the specs and the design. I guess the next phone i’ll buy should support 4G but for now I’m perfectly happy with my Find 5.
Tested and working on: KPN, Tele2, T-Mobile NL and Three UK when you enter the internet APN.
Neo N003 Youth for me. Don’t really like the design. But the build quality is great.
Jiayu G4T, standard vesion. Just perfect smartphone, IMO.
Country: Ukraine.
——-> So Andi, Yash & Co. come on, put your cards on the table 🙂
The Find 5 and Mi2S for me! Currently in a fix as to which one gets to be my daily driver!
Xiaomi Mi2, JiaYu G5, secret device 😉 and soon an Oppo N1 all on China Unicom : D
I still fancy a Find 5
found Mi2 one of the best phone ever, all the best hardware in small handy phone, btw what is this secret device?
Hey yash… if u dont mind…would like to talk to u…
My mail id : saint.rohit21@gmail.com
Grettings from Romania, daily use Xiaomi Mi2s and Mi1s since january this year, Jiayu G2s, Haier W910( for outdoor activities). So far i like the Xiaomi design, i think is the best smartphone in 4.3″ form factor, good camera, long lasting battery( wlan, gps, edge always on), out of the box fast and stable, no need for custom rom, OTA updates.
Cheers,
+1
From Pakistan, I use Xiaomi Mi3 16 gb…..that works fine on the gsm in my country, as we have no 3g here in Pakistan…
Nice Phone!

Thanks for the complement, you also have nice collection
ZTE V975 in Ireland, great phone for a great price. Everything works no problem and a battery life isn’t bad for 5inch screen, it will get you through whole day. Waiting for carpad T5 octa 😉
Who has lots money (SETH) he/she can buy Find5/Mi2S in India 😀
Mi3 comes with a more powerful processor, so Mi3.
thanks so mi3 it will be
From where exactly did you buy the oppo and mi2s bro??
Last i checked on ebay… mi2s was way too expensive…
I too am looking to buy a phone… but am confused…

We will be reviewing one shortly

Good giant phone with the loudest speaker of any Chinese phone, but need to improve the camera
country: Brunei
I’m using that 4.3″ 720p phone with the MT6589T and at least 1GB RAM.
Oh.. it doesn’t excist you say? :’)

Spain, Amoi n828 (miui v5 rom), amena and happymovil (BOTH ORANGE)
I live in Germany and got my phone during vacation in China. Conveniently my Samsung stopped working the day we arrived.
Coolpad 7295+
-very attractive price
-overwhelming specs in price range

Now I’m a China phone addict too.
Faea F2s in UK with O2. It is a lightening with the new updated rom. Very happy customer.
The update make it more stable? I like the F2s but found it buggy in use
Greting from France
Using a Jiayu G3 sylver Nice design and good gps if you change antenna

I’m very happy using Chinese Phone. Especially Xiaomi.
After buy and using Mi2s for awhile (Xiaomi Mi2s is my first Chinese phone).. I decided to sell my Samsung S4 and HTC One and replaced them with other chinese phone (TCL and Oppo).
Nice collection! The R819 is one phone I have yet to try, camera looks great!

It is a value for money phone, I bought it 4 months ago for about 160$. Great Lenovo quality with quadcore processor and excellent battery life. I also like the feature that the FM Radio works without the headphones. Had no problems whatsoever. If I would buy a phone now though, I would choose the Lenovo S650.

I’m from Chicago in the United States. In the US it is quite expensive to buy a smartphone unlocked. It is also extremely expensive to sign up for a contract from one of the major carriers. I bought my Thl Monkey King so that I would have a really nice phone but still be able to use affordable service. I use Lycamobile in the US which uses T-Mobile’s towers. Unfortunately I am unable to get either 3G or 4G over here. I can only get 2G mobile internet. iOcean X7 Youth 1.2Ghz(early adopter)
I am using only one simcard wich is from T-Mobile, and im living in the Netherlands.
My thoughts on the upcoming generation:
Octacore is overpowered as ***.
“A good quad-core is better than a ‘slow’ octacore.”
My suggestions for what could be better:
– open up kernel sources to open the possibillity to make cyanogenmod AOKP, Omni, and compile the latest AOSP Android version on your own
– improve gps stability: both software as hardware antenna
– improve GPU instead of add more CPU cores
– 4G support
– don’t use 8 A9’s as octacore but 2 A15’s and 2 A9’s quadcore.
So, im not in for a replacement for my very good iOcean X7 wich is excellent!
I”ll wait till they atleast added 4G support
I’m interested in buying iOcean x7. Can you tell me something about the quality of the phone, downsides, support, etc?
The build quality is very good, however you better not drop it. The screen might break because its not gorilla glass.
The downsides would be the gps, wich is a major problem for (almost) all mediatek phones. Wifi could be slightly better maybe, but in my opinion it is good enough.
Support is pretty well, official updates are spread out via the official forum.
Their are enough custom roms available on Needrom, but the best are on XDA. I used to develop a custom rom for the iOcean too, but im now cooperating with another developer on XDA to help hij with the rom he builded.

I use Star S4 with 2GB here in Austria and Germany.Despite the few bugs and the GPS not working it is a good phone. I hope MTK will solve the GPS issues on their SoC’s asap.
I am using ZOPO zp810 in Moscow in Russia. The most serios problem is absence of 900 mgz frequency of 3g. So I can not get fast 3g connection when my mobile operator is using 900mhz 3g and when other phones have no such problems. Would be interesting to find out if ZOPO would make their new smartphone with full 3g support for European and Russian markets.
I use here in Italy the Alcatel One Touch POP C3 and the Vodafone Smart Mini (both of TCL manufacturer). The first with a Vodafone SIM card and the second with a Tre (H3G) one.

Greetings from Romania. Using Jiayu G4 Basic atm.
What is the least buggy Chinese phone? I have a Zopo C2 and it is just BUGGY! Any other recommendations?

Ireland and Poland. My phone: Oppo R819 no problems nice and smooth
HDC Note 2 B6000 with Virgin Mobile Canada (Bell Mobile). Great phone. My son (15 yrs old) use it very hard (texting (approx 3500 msg/month), wifi browsing (incl. movies & youtube videos), skype video calls, etc) battery live approx 1-1.5 days.
which chinese octa-core phone has strong GPS with Glonass ? and compass sensor ? this is the most important area for improvement.

Lenovo K900 as my main phone – beautiful design and blazing fast. Lenovo A660 as my “road” phone for when I am on a motorcycle trip – waterproof and robust. Previously had a no-name Chinese Note copy which my sister is now using. My ultimate Chinese phone would be 5.5″ full HD, metal bodied, dual sim, SD slot and waterproof.

Nice phone indeed. Same as xiaomi mi2 😀

In India, Jiayu G4 Advanced. A bit worried though as there is absolutely no after sales service support 🙂 but love the phone
I am In the Bahamas
I don’t know anyone else who has bought on their own from the premium brands as yet (Oppo Zopo etc.) but I am becoming someting like a pioneer and turning people onto them.
In the last couple of months I have gotten alot of people to purchase a couple of brands
Newman K1, Zopo C2 platinum, Freelander I30, Zopo 990 (which is also use) and I have ordered a Zopo 998 for myself. I am ordering a couple F2s next week along with reorders of the above phones.
What’s funny is I am not in the phone selling business!! I just can’t shut up about these phones and its getting people interested. (“word of mouth” does work very well here)
Lenovo P780. Great battery life. Smooth operation. 3G & Wifi all work very well. GPS work fine too. Big suprise: Very good camera with great camera apps (Lenovo Super Camera)
I bought it in the same weeks it’s available in Malaysia (and got a good deal too, paying below USD250 for it, contact free) and mostly for it’s 4000mAh battery. Then, I was truly surprised by how good the camera is. 9/10 (only cons is the low availability of internal memory for apps but I got it fixed with a bloatware-free ROM)
This phone is almost bug free. Using it since August, only need like 1 or 2 reset per month. Not a big deal. Solid build with combination of metal frame & plastic (for the antenna area). Even the battery cover is a piece of metal! USB OTG work with thumbdrive & game controller! The speaker volume is very strong too. For those who owns P780, you can try this ROM (based on the official firmware with most bloatware removed) http://www.pandawillforum.com/showthread.php?22790-Lenovo-P780-clean-ROM-(root-gapps-included)

Xiaomi Mi2S 32 GB in Buenos Aires Argentina…Great Phone!
NEO n003- I am very impressed with this phone. USA
What: Jiayu G4T Advanced
Where: Czech republic
Why: battery, dual sim
ROM: stock
Standard sim slot: voice+sms (Vodafone), microsim slot: data only (Telefonica O2)
2G/3G data:
I’m using G4 (bought from spemall) for 10 days and I’m quite confused with 3G performance. When driving in car network keeps switching from 3G to 2G etc, even in big city where 3G has good coverage. Sometimes data connection stuck – when turning on or off (or turning on/off 3G) – restart of the phone always helps. I have issues with Skype, after turning on the phone from sleep mode and bringing the Skype to front (it appears in notification area as Online and I can receive messages) I sometimes get message “unable to sign in” – restart helps as well. All of these I believe are ROM issues…
GPS:
I think GPS is quite all right. After “fixing” (erasing & downloading agps data), it performs ok. If gps fixes location, I can put the phone in car to tray and even to leather case (=0 view to clear sky) and it still works well… Sometimes fix takes more time (30s-1m)…
Wifi:
Wifi is pretty awesome I would say. When I’m approx 50 metres from my flat, which is in third floor (router is about 3 metres from the window), I still have 2-3 “lines” of wifi strength, very cool 🙂
Overall I’m satisfied so far…

I’m from Brazil and, currently, I’m using a Jiayu G3 (MKT 6577) that I bought at UREdeal online store in November 2012. It was my first smatphone and android device.
I have Jiayu G3 and a iPad2. Wifi and 3G works fine in both devices. No difference. I’m using a 4.1.2 ROM by Jiayu.es. Thanks Spain! 🙂
The Jiayu is a good smartphone but is intended for a Chinese market. Don’t have a oficial support site in english for a ROM upgrade. You always depend on third parties for an upgrade. Custom ROM does not always work well.
Furthermore, the Brazilian currency depreciated against the dollar, the supervision of the custom house is more aggressive with imported products (more than 60% of import tax.) So buy a Chinese smartphone is becoming less attractive compared to a smartphone with local representation as a Motorola.
The new chinese smartphones looks amazing but have not decided if I buy one yet.

Hi There,
Im from The Netherlands and I bought the next phones:
Jiayu G4,
Jiayu G3s
Zopo ZP 990 Captain S
I’m using Jiayu G3 from march 2013. good looking, comfortable in hand. now custom with miui rom v5.
No problem with network here, always get good speed for internet. The battery are long lasting 1 day+. 🙂 Now considering Xiaomi hongmi or mi3 for replacement, or maybe waiting for the 8 core wave from jiayu or other chineese manufacturer.
I’m from Indonesia using Oppo Find 5 Midnight 32GB for daily driver. nice on specs, price and shape 😀
Norway checking in.
I recently changed my Jiayu G3 DualCore, to Neo 003, so far, so good, so what 🙂
I have become addicted to the Chineese teck.market.
My first was a B63M, then i got Zopo ZP300+.
The Neo 003 is one ugly SOB, but its a solid build and ill keep it for some months.
UMI X1 in Poland with local Plus operator which supports UMTS2100, 850 MHz is unsupported which declassifies most phones 🙁

I’m a Zopo fan. I began with ZP100, then took a ZP500+, ZP950 and now I’ve a C2 last release (2 GB RAM and 32 GB NAND). I use it in Italy and Swiss

Xiaomi Mi2s 32Gb in Dubai, UAE. Planning to get one Hongmi and MI3(if it comes with LTE)
Malaysia, Oppo Find 5 ^^
I’m from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. We use Jiayu G3S since August. I think in exchange for Jiayu G5. Take this opportunity to ask: What is the device with the best digital camera worth about $ 250?
I Used a ZOPO zp950+ for almost a year in the Netherlands, but sadly enough it keeped working less well. Suddenly shutdowns, buttons that malfunctioned. Since this week I am the owner of an Acer Liquid S1 Duo. Not Chinese but the same pricerange and a very nice phone!

Meizu MX2 in Austria – Red Bull carrier – fast as hell!
Zopo zp980 32g in Slovakia.
Jiayu G4 Advanced in UK with GiffGaff (runs on O2 network). Worked out of the box, great build quality, 2Gb RAM can take everything you throw at it, 3000mah battery means it’s good for 2-3 days, great 720p screen.

Probably the only from Iceland!
I use the Xiaomi Mi2A and i am quiet pleased. Powerful phone and didn’t cost too much (around 30,000 isk, new iphone 5s is around 130.000 Isk). The only problem i have is that i can’t use headphones with it (the headphone input is bugged)
I use a Star S7180 here in the UK
Meizu MX3 64GB HK-Version in Switzerland.

Using a cubot gt99 in the UK on giffgaff (O2) and orange/ee.
Its my first foray into the Chinese phone market and I am really happy with my purchase, took some fiddling to get it working perfectly but no biggy! Definitely a convert here and quite a few of my friends are being heavily swayed right now

I’m from Indonesia, Now i’m using Jiayu G3, yeah i know this phone is so last year, i can’t even play fifa 14 in this phone. but i love it, the size and the looks everything just feels right..except the weight… now i’m saving some money to buy Mi3
some people told me to purchase the Mi2S or Oppo find V but nahh…Mi3 got lumia design (my biggest reason) but with android MIUI OS
can’t wait. 🙂
I have a ZOPO ZP980. But I would never buy a chinese Phone again, when they are only import. Because a Phone needs maintenance or repair. And these Chinese phones are not repaired in repairshops in my area. So when your Phone drops on the floor (like mine did) and the screen brakes… you are basically ‘FV(K3D’.
Xiaomi Mi2 and Jiayu G3. I just ordered ZTE Nubia Z5 mini for my wife. A friend of mine ordered ZOPO C2 but it has not arrived yet.

Jiayu G4 Advance ! From Greece. For me is great phone all working fine and the GPS!
i m targeting carpad t6s / orientphone p6 and umi cross. right now waiting for umi cross to start selling with nfc. carpad still out of stock. i think these high end phones should not price over us300. i m a little skeptical of all their advertised functions.

Greetings from Greece! I’ve just bought Meizu MX3 32GB as my primary phone right now and as a secondary phone I use UMI X2. My networks are COSMOTE and Vodafone. But, it’s a shame that none of these phones has 4G/LTE support to use them for superfast Internet as my Sony Xperia Z1. Chinese phones to rule the world!

Xiaomi Honmi (Red Rice) WCDMA version here.

Oppo find 5 white 16gb with apex launcher and miuiv5 icons for private use, and TCL idol x s950 black 16gb with apex launcher and miui v5 icons for work use. The oppo is favourite, but the TCL is really AWESOME for the price: great display, fast, really slim, good build quality and nice own skin for settings. Not just a clone but a real brand

hi i loaded custom roms from ‘needrom’ these contain the software fixes, but also there are some tutorials to set the GPS using mobileuncle app, all very simple took about 10 minutes. I use it for runkeeper with no issues so i guess its was not hardware just software/ setup

Using Ulefone Be Touch 2 in the UK on the three (3) network. It works but signal reception not great compared to old iPhone 4S. Will check it it in a city and London to see what better 3G is like and also 4G.

Umi Cross 6.4″ is the best phone I have had. Now a year later I still love it. Great 13mp camera with good lense. It works with Chromecast on my TV. It has everything I need. I also use a tiny tablet mouse with it when using it at a table which effectively turns it into PC.
