Foldable phones have become the new competition in the smartphone world lately. However, if you compare the market share of the competing companies, it does not even look like a competition. This is because Samsung is far ahead, and it is almost untouchable in this category. Almost 8 out of every 10 foldable phones you will see is made by Samsung and it is not much of a surprise. Samsung is the most popular phone manufacturer in the world. So, you can easily list popularity as one of the main driving forces behind the company’s large foldable market share.
Aside popularity, there is no denying that the South Korean company makes one of the best folding smartphones out there. However, other manufacturers are trying to do better in order to get a slice of the pie. At this point, all they have to do is to increase their market shares by reducing that of Samsung. To do that, they need to make foldables that are equal or better than what Samsung makes.
Motorola Aims to Compete Samsung Galaxy Z Flip with Moto Razr 2023 
This seems to be the approach Motorola is currently taking. The Lenovo owned phone maker makes one of the best foldable phones. In fact, it is one of the companies that first started foldable smartphones. So, you cannot downplay their capabilities when it comes to making great foldable phones.

Last year, Motorola launched the Moto Razr 2022 edition with some great features and specifications. This year, the company is preparing to launch a new edition with a whole different looks and design from its predecessor.
In a live photo we spotted online, we could see an exciting looking design with red bottom panel and red buttons to match it. Unlike the bulky-looking hinge design of the 2022 edition, Motorola seems to change that to a fancier design.
Per the image from 91Mobiles, the device will spot a dual back camera setup which is horizontally in line with the LED flashlight.
Specs of the Moto Razr 2023 
There is not enough information about the specs for us to share currently. However, there is one thing we can be sure of. Owing to the fact that the 2022 edition came with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, we can be sure that the 2023 edition will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
Unlike the Galaxy Z Flip from Samsung, Motorola’s Razr 2023 will come with a fast charger in the box with a phone case too. By all standards, the Moto Razr 2023 will be a direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip with its design, specs and features.
