Vivo takes more inspiration from Oppo, plans to launch own headphones at Xplay 3S launch

Vivo seems to be taking it’s inspiration from Oppo once again with news that they are planning to launch their own premium headphones at the launch of the Vivo Xplay 3S.

Vivo and Oppo (once allies) are very similar companies. They both produce premium products, with great specifications and innovative designs, and they both like to offer high quality audio performance to their customers. Following on from Oppo’s announcement that they will launch a premium headphone, Vivo could also be launching high end options.

Instead of focussing on headphones, Vivo should focus on providing better audio from the phone itself. Samsung S4 for example, uses a Wolfson Digital to Analogue Converter.

They already use Cirrus Logic DAC’s in their phones, which attack battery life but get the job done.

If they are trying to be on a level playing field with Oppo, then they need an international forum, like the one Oppo has, in order to attract international customers.

They are taking Oppo (and others) on in the home market, not international (yet)
