iQOO Pad: Specifications have been revealed

iQOO Pad

iQOO is gearing up to launch the iQOO Neo 8 series on May 23, and the company confirmed the event will also be the stage for the iQOO Pad. The long-rumored tablet will finally reach the market, but it turns out to be a rebranded version of the Vivo Pad 2. In addition to the rumors, iQOO has released a couple of teasers. They confirm the slate will pack a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ and will have a 144Hz refresh rate. This smooth refresh rate is uncommon among tablets, which gives the iQOO Pad an advantage over other gaming tablets.

Besides the smooth display, we also got to know that the slate is the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+. This confirms that the tablet is essentially a rebranded version of the Vivo Pad 2. It also means that the slate will have enough power to handle everything on PlayStore. From heavy games to conventional apps, you will be well served. The Dimensity 9000+ was MediaTek’s flagship SoC of 2022, which means the iQOO Pad will have some sort of flagship-like performance.

The tablet will also feature a 14442 mm² heat dissipation area and boasts LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The teasers also confirm the tablet’s 12.1-inch display with a 144 Hz refresh rate. Taking the Vivo Pad 2’s specs, we are looking at a 2.8K display with up to 600 peak brightness and HDR10 support. Although the RAM amount is unclear, the iQOO Pad will likely have 8GB to 12GB, based on the Vivo Pad 2 variants. In terms of storage, it could start at 128 GB and go up to 512 GB.

The design of the iQOO Pad follows the same formula as the Vivo Pad 2. It comes with a flat edge design and slightly curved corners. There is a circular camera island housing two cameras and an LED flash. The tablet will weigh around 585 grams and will have about 6.59 mm thickness. The iQOO Pad will draw power from a huge 10,000 mAh battery. That’s adequate for this display size, resolution, and refresh rate. The phone will run Android 13 straight out of the box with FuntouchOS 13.

There are just a few days left, thus, we expect iQOO to tease more details in the coming days.
