Epic Games New Reward Program Let’s You save 5% on Your Favorite Games

Epic Games Rewards

Epic Games has recently announced a new reward program for its users. The program, known as Epic Rewards, offers players a 5% reward on each eligible purchase.

This is the latest in a series of moves by Epic Games to improve its popularity against the dominant PC gaming platform, Steam. In the past, Epic Games has offered free games to its users. And it has also taken a more generous approach to revenue sharing with developers than Steam. Epic Games has now revealed its cashback program, Epic Rewards.

Earn a 5% reward on Epic Games

To earn Epic Rewards, players must be logged into their Epic Games account and have accepted the latest version of the company’s License Agreement. Once these requirements are met, players will automatically earn 5% of the value on all eligible purchases made in the Epic Games Store. Eligible purchases include games, add-ons, and virtual currencies.

However, one should note that not all games are eligible for cashback. The official announcement does mention Fortnite’s V-Bucks as an example of a virtual currency that is eligible for cashback. But we are yet to see a complete list of games, or add-ons that will support it.

The reward will be added to the player’s Rewards Balance within two weeks of the original purchase. It can then be used to make future purchases on the Epic Games Store. Users can combine the reward with other coupons as well. But, players should note that it expires after 25 months. So if players do not use their points before they expire, they will be lost.

The Epic Rewards program is another way for Epic Games to attract and retain users. By offering a way for players to earn money back on their purchases, Epic Games is making it more attractive to shop on its platform. This could help Epic Games to close the gap with Steam and become a more dominant force in the PC gaming market.
