Tomorrow, May 23, iQOO will hold a special event in China. The brand will introduce the iQOO Neo 8 series and an all-new iQOO Pad. The first tablet from the gaming brand has been awaited with high anticipation, but does it really worth your hype? Well, considering that it’s based on the Vivo Pad 2, but still brings extra horsepower, we have enough reasons to believe it will be a decent tablet for those who also want to enjoy some gaming. The gaming and hardware-focused brand has been teasing the tablet for the past few days, now we have a new live photo that reveals the tablet in all its glory next to a Vivo Pad 2.

iQOO Pad – More details confirmed
The leaked photo shows that the tablet is really a 1:1 rebadged Vivo Pad 2. It also runs the same OriginOS 3 platform, and also, the tablet works with Vivo’s cover keyboard and stylus. So what makes this tablet different? It will come with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ and not the standard version of the Vivo Pad 2. The Dimensity 9000+ bumps the clock speed of the Cortex-X2 core to 3.2 GHz over the 3.05 GHz on the vanilla. It has the same 3 x ARM Cortex-A710 cores at up to 2.85GHz and the 4 x ARM Cortex-A510 cores at up to 1.8 GHz. The extra clock will give this device more horsepower on demanding tasks, especially during gaming sessions.
The leak also confirms one variant with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of Internal Storage. Since the Vivo Pad 2 lacks a micro SD card slot we also expect the iQOO Pad to miss it. Taking the Pad 2 specs into consideration, we believe the tablet will bring a huge 10,000 mAh battery, 44W wired charging, and 5W reverse wired charging. For optics, the tablet will bring a 13 MP main camera and an 8 MP front-facing snapper for video calls.
The Vivo Pad 2 with 12 GB/ 512GB costs about CNY 3,399 ($500). The iQOO Pad may reduce this price further since affordability is one of iQOO’s appeals.
