iQOO unveiled the iQOO Neo 8 series today, and the stage was shared with the new iQOO Pad and the iQOO TWS Air Pro wireless earbuds. The former is the company’s highly-anticipated tablet that comes as a rebadged Vivo Pad 2 with the Dimensity 9000+. The new earbuds come to deliver an immersive audio experience promising up to 30 hours of battery life with the charging case.
iQOO Pad Specifications
As we’ve said before, the iQOO Pad is a rebranded Vivo Pad2. The main difference is the powerful Dimensity 9000+ that offers a slight advantage over the vanilla Dimensity 9000+ on the Vivo tablet. Apart from the extra horsepower, all specs are the same, even the OriginOS 3 is running on iQOO’s first tablet. That said, the iQOO Pad comes with a huge 12.1-inch IPS LCD screen with 2,880 x 1,800 pixels and a 144 Hz refresh rate. One of the notable features is the 7:5 aspect ratio that fits more vertical content. The front also houses an 8 MP camera that provides decent quality for video calls.
Gizchina News of the week
Moving around to the back, we have a 13 MP shooter and a 2 MP macro camera. The design of the camera is the same as found on the Vivo’s Pad 2. The device is quite thin with just 6.59 mm of thickness. Under the hood, we have the aforementioned Dimensity 9000+. It comes in 8 GB or 12 GB LPDDR4X RAM versions. Storage-wise, we have options with 128GB, 256GB, and 512 GB.
The tablet offers support for the iQOO Pencil stylus, and we assume it also supports Vivo’s keyboard case. The tablet draws its power from a huge 10,000 mAh battery complete with 44W fast charging.
The iQOO Pad starts at CNY 2,299 ($326) for the option with 8GB/128 GB. The price reaches CNY 3,299 ($468) when you look for the higher 12GB/512GB variant. The device sales will begin on May 31st and it has a single Grey Color Option. For now, there is no word on global availability.
The iQOO TWS Air Pro earbuds
The company also unveiled new earbuds for those who want a complete audio experience. The earbuds come with an IP54 rating for water and splash resistance, dual pairing, and the Find My Earbuds function. Of Course, for a brand that gives special attention to games, the new earbuds come with a low-latency gaming mode. The TWS Air Pro brings 14.2mm drivers, and ANC, and offers up to 30 hours of combined battery life with the charging case. They support Bluetooth 5.3 and have AAC and SBC codecs.
The TWS Air Pro is available in White and Black/Yellow color options. They sell at CNY 269 ($38), and you will be able to find them for order on May 31. It’s a very appealing price for earbuds that come with Active Noise Cancellation. Hopefully, they will be widely available in the near future.
