Apple iCloud+ is a premium subscription that expands your iCloud service with features like iCloud Private Relay, Hide My Email and HomeKit Secure Video support. However, many users primarily utilize it for expanding their iCloud storage. iCloud+ offers users the choice of 50GB, 200GB, or 2TB storage plans based on their needs. Recently, Apple quietly increased the price of iCloud+ in many countries, including the United States. This means that iCloud+ subscribers will now have to pay more for the storage they need.
Apple Increase iCloud+ Subscription Price in the UK, Parts of Asia, and Europe
The UK, Norway, Poland, Denmark, and Brazil are among the regions to witness the hike in iCloud+ pricing. The basic 50GB plan now costs £0.99, up from £0.79 in the UK. The 200GB plan is now £2.99, up from £2.49. And the 2TB plan is now £8.99, up from £6.99. These price increases represent a 25-30% increase for UK customers.
Likewise, in Brazil, the base 50GB plan now costs R$ 4.90 per month, and the 2TB plan costs R$ 49.90 per month. In South Africa, the 50GB plan costs R$ 14.99 per month, the 200GB plan costs R$ 59.99 per month, and the 2TB plan costs R$ 199.99 per month. It’s not just these countries, there are a bunch of other countries that have seen the price increase.

US faces no price increase for iCloud+ subscription
Apple has not yet announced any changes or increases in iCloud+ subscription prices in the US, Canada, or India. However, the company does periodically update its pricing based on taxes and foreign exchange rates. As such, it is possible that prices could change in the future.
Note that the free iCloud plan still offers 5GB of storage, the same amount as when it was first launched in 2011. However, there is some good news for Apple One subscribers: the pricing for that service has not changed. Apple One includes iCloud+, tv+, Music, Arcade, Fitness+, and News+. Although Apple did raise the prices for Apple One in October, that’s still a small consolation.
