Introducing the Xiaomi 13T Series

Xiaomi 13T

Xiaomi has officially unveiled the brand-new 13T lineup. Consisting of the Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro, the unveiling of the series took place on the 26th of last month. And as expected, the two phones are very similar to the China-exclusive devices recently launched under the Redmi brand.

That is, the Xiaomi 13T lineup is based on the Redmi K60 series. To be specific, the 13T Pro is basically the global version of the Redmi K60 Pro. But the devices are not completely identical. Xiaomi has made some changes, which includes better camera hardware and IP68 certification.

The Xiaomi 13T comes with a Dimensity 8200-Ultra chipset under the hood. It’s a 4nm chipset based on the 8200 platform from MediaTek. But MediaTek has made some tweaks to the chipset in partnership with Xiaomi. The SoC is paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

There are two different variants available for the device. The base mode has 8GB of RAM, while the high-end variant features 12GB of RAM. However, both come with 256GB of storage.

Display, Camera, and Battery

On the front, the Xiaomi 13T features a 6.67-inch OLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate. It’s a Full HD+ panel with over 2600 nits of peak brightness. These screen specs mean that the device will excel in delivering crisp and highly detailed images.

In terms of camera, the Xiaomi 13T features a 50M primary camera on the back. It’s a 1/1.28-inch type sensor with 1.22 μm individual pixels. Most importantly, it has OIS, ensuring stable images and videos.

Xiaomi has paired the primary sensor with a 50MP portrait telephoto camera. It’s a f/1.9 aperture sensor. And there’s a 12MP ultrawide sensor available too. In comparison, the Redmi K60 Ultra featured an 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro sensor alongside the 50MP primary camera.

Camera Setup 13T

The camera of the Xiaomi 13T has some unique features. For example, you get the choice between Leica Authentic Look and Leica Vibrant Look. The first aims to deliver the most realistic color, while the latter makes the colors pop out in every shot.
