Realme is getting ready to unroll the curtains on the Realme GT5 Pro later this month. And as we’re getting closer to the launch, the company has shared details of the phone.

At a collaborative event with ArcSoft and Qualcomm held in China, Realme confirmed the camera details of the Realme GT5 Pro. It will be the first smartphone from the brand to feature a periscope telephoto sensor. But that’s not all! Realme has also shared some key details on the primary camera sensor of the device.

More About the Camera Configuration of Realme GT5 Pro

Realme confirmed that the GT5 Pro will boast the brand-new Sony LYT 808 camera. It’s the same sensor that’s present in the OnePlus Open. Also, it’s the same sensor that the OnePlus 12 will feature. We already know how capable the camera is from the recent camera samples. To be exact, it’s only second to the flagship Sony IMX989. As for the periscope camera, the Realme GT5 Pro will come with the Sony IMX890 sensor. Its sensor size is 1/1.56-inch, and it’s regarded as the largest telephoto sensor available in the smartphone industry. More importantly, the telephoto sensor has support for up to 120X digital zoom, which will likely result in detailed close-up shots.

In addition, the brand has announced that the GT5 Pro will be featuring cutting-edge imaging algorithms. Also, the smartphone will come packed with a new telephoto super light and shadow engine. Realme developed this engine with ArcSoft. This engine brings advanced semantic perception, bionic perception, and scene detection algorithms.

Besides, the Realme GT5 Pro has support for advanced camera features. That includes AI noise reduction, RAW multi-frame HDR, lossless calculation, and Pro XDR. Also, the telephoto sensor equips the main-level DOL-HDR. All of these will make the smartphone deliver ultra-high dynamic range and better overall camera performance.
