POCO is gearing up for its first launch of 2024 with the release of the POCO X6 series. The company confirmed the launch of the new devices for early next year but did not disclose the specific timeline. Interestingly, ahead of the launch, a microsite for the POCO X6 series went live on Flipkart. The brand has yet to confirm how many devices will launch in the POCO X6 series, but a report suggests that the POCO X6 Pro will be the first smartphone of the lineup to reach India.

POCO India confirms that the upcoming device, the X6 Pro will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra. According to an FCC certification, the POCO X6 Pro comes in variants with 7 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Storage and 12 GB of RAM with 512 GB of Internal Storage. If these details sound familiar to you, that’s because the POCO X6 Pro is hinted as a rebadged Redmi K70e. The K70 series went official in China recently and will hit global markets under the POCO branding. There are just some subtle differences.
The Redmi K70e features 90W charging. However, the POCO X6 Pro will see a slight downgrade to 67W charging in India. This wouldn’t be the first time a company changes the charging speed for a particular market. Apart from this detail, the phone will keep the same specifications as the Redmi K70e.

Hi-Res audio certification, and Hi-Res wireless certification
Conclusion
Considering the specifications, the POCO X6 Pro will be a step up when compared to its predecessor. The POCO X5 Pro had the Snapdragon 778G and while that was a powerful chipset, it lags behind the performance offered with the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra. The processor will allow customers to run everything available on the Google Play Store. From basic apps to the most demanding games.
Xiaomi’s POCO certainly will build the hype ahead of this release. So we expect more details to be shared about the phone soon. Besides the POCO X6 Pro, the company is also expected to introduce a vanilla variant, and perhaps a POCO X5 GT. We expect more details to be revealed soon.
