Redmi 13C with Dimensity 6100 SoC released in China

Back in November, Chinese manufacturer, Redmi, released its new mid-range mobile phone globally. This device is already available in some markets in Africa and the Middle East. However, the company has just announced that this mobile phone has commenced sales in China. According to Xiaomi, the Redmi 13C is now available on Xiaomi Mall and JD.com. As of now, the device is on pre-sale and it is selling for 749 yuan ($106). The first official sale of this device will take place on December 30th (tomorrow) at 10 o’clock Chinese time.

According to reports, Redmi 13C is available in rainbow star yarn and star rock black colours. It comes with a 6.74-inch LCD on the front and supports a 90Hz refresh rate as well as a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The device has also obtained Rheinland software-level low blue light certification and Rheinland flicker-free certification. The resolution of the Chinese version has not yet been announced. However, the resolution of the global version display is 720 x 1,600 pixels. As of now, we can not tell whether there will be a difference in the display resolution.

Under the hood, this device has the Dimensity 6100+ processor, which uses a 6nm process and has a maximum CPU frequency of 2.2GHz. It is equipped with a large 5000 mAh battery which offers a 5G standby time of 17.02 days. It also promises a 5G talk time of 29.97 hours. However, this device supports only 18W charging. Of course, it is a mid-range phone and we should not expect it to have it all.

In the camera department, the Redmi 13C comes with a 50MP main camera that supports night scene mode, AI portrait mode, and HDR mode. It also supports Xiaomi Imaging Brain which increases the camera startup speed by 24.4%. The rear portrait shooting speed also increased by 55.3%, and the night scene shooting speed increased by 55.7%. In addition, this device supports a 3.5mm headphone jack, side fingerprint recognition, 5G dual-SIM dual standby, 1TB storage expansion, etc.
