Today Samsung unveiled its next big thing for the flagship smartphone market in the form of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. In addition to the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Samsung S24+ that we’ve covered in another article, the company also unveiled its big star for the market, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. The new smartphone comes to offer Samsung’s best with a large Dynamic AMOLED display, 200MP Camera, Seven Years of Software Updates, and Unique AI Features. Let’s dive into this smartphone’s specifications and see everything it has got.
Display
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has the largest display of the family with a 6.8-inch Diagonal. It has a Quad HD+ resolution with 3,120 x 1,440 pixels. It’s a bright display with up to 2,600 nits of brightness and it is smooth thanks to Samsung’s 1-120Hz Adaptive Refresh Rate. The Device has an Infinity-O-Edge Screen, which is Samsung’s marketing name for a display with punch-hole cutouts and curved edges. The panel is covered with Gorilla Armor protection.
Build
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra boasts a titanium frame, the first for the series. It has a significantly thinner body with 8.6 mm. It’s not the sleekest smartphone out there, but it’s a step ahead of the Ultra series. The phone has a minimum of 50% recycled cobalt in the battery, 100% recycled rare earth elements a minimum of 40% recycled steel in the speakers, and a 10% pre-consumer recycled TPU in the side and volume keys. Finally, Samsung further commits to its eco-friendly approach with a 100% recycled paper retail box.
The phone’s Corning Gorilla Armor is optically enhanced and reduces reflection by up to 75% in a wide range of lighting conditions. It ensures a smooth, comfortable viewing experience for most of the users.
Performance – Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for all versions
Unlike the vanilla models, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will come only with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The chipset is clocked up to 3.4 GHz which is slightly higher than the standard 3.3 GHz offered in the standard version. The phone also has an improved vapor chamber cooling, which is now 1.9 times larger than the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Camera – 200 MP and Much More!
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra comes again with a 200 MP camera offering Optical Image Stabilization. It also has a 12 MP ultra-wide lens camera with a 120-degree field of view. There is also a 10 MP telephoto shooter for 3x zoom and an all-new 50 MP periscope lens for 5x zoom. It also offers 100x digital zoom and has a 3D ToF sensor. The phone features a 12 MP camera. The phone offers 8K 30fps video recording.
The Ultra comes with a larger pixel size that can now capture 1.4um pixels with more light in dim conditions. It’s a 60% improvement over the previous model. Blur is also reduced on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra with wider optical image stabilizer (OIS) angles and enhanced handshake compensation.
Regarding video recording, both front and rear cameras come with a Dedicated ISP Block for noise reduction. The Ultra also analyzes gyro information to distinguish between the filmer’s movement and the subject. The camera includes AI features like Edit Suggestions, Generative Edit, and Instant Slow-mo.
AI, OS, and Key Features
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with One UI 6.1 and Android 14. The device is eligible for seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security patches. The phone’s AI features include Live Translate, two-way, real-time voice and text translations of phone calls within the native app. There is also the Interpreter feature, Chat Assist, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, and Gesture-Driven Circle To Search.
The phone keeps its legacy of being a spiritual successor for the Galaxy Note series and comes with a built-in S Pen Stylus.
Battery and Connectivity
The Galaxy S24 Ultra retains the 5000 mAh battery of its predecessor with the same 45W fast charging. It includes Qi Wireless and Reverse Wireless Charging. The phone includes 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, Ultra-Wideband, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type C 3.1, and NFC.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra comes in Titanium Gray, Titanium Black, Titanium Violet, and Titanium Yellow colors. There will be some exclusive online colors – Titanium Blue, Green, and Orange in Select Countries. The pricing for each variant is described below:
