Not long ago, Huawei gave low-cost smartphone seekers a sweet surprise by showcasing the $130 Honor 3C alongside the more powerful Honor 3X. The former was reportedly made to go through a few popular benchmarking apps, where it showed off some impressive prowess.
The potential of the quad-core Mediatek MT6582 is no secret, especially for us here at GizChina. The Honor 3C uses comes with the very processor, and here’s what it did to the benchmarking apps it went through.
Gizchina News of the week
Huawei Honor 3C benchmark scores
- AnTuTu: 17,189 points
- Quadrant: 3,163 points
- Nenamark2: 47.2fps
- Basemark: 20.83fps
- Vellamo:Â 1,927 points (HTML5);Â 590 points (Metal)
Although these are by no means groundbreaking numbers, but for a phone that will hopefully see a release in numerous markets worldwide at the concerned price point, this is indeed impressive.
The MT6582 that the phone employs operates at a 1.3GHz frequency, paired with a Mali 400 GPU. Other specifications of the Honor 3C include a 5-inch 720p screen, 2,300mAh battery, 8 mega-pixel f/2.0 Sony camera, and an option of 1GB or 2GB RAM.

Ideal fone for Indian market..for the price point of $ 130 equivalent in India, Lenovo could storm Indian market !
i hope huawei release an internatonal version with wcdma 850 for will buy it
Where is the WCDMA version.
Im kindof surprised the 6582 produces exact the same antutu results with a 720p screen then with a qhd screen like my onn v8 star for instance. gps seems to work fine with this processor and the psp emu runs as fluent on this as it does on a rk3188 based tablet with 2 gig ram. kindof impressive.
Probably a case of better software optimization from Huawei?
And that’s very impressive. Hoping to get my first MT6582 phone in the next few days!
might be. i rather suspect this huawei to be qhd too đ
why not the MT6588 for the model “C” and the MT6592/95 for the model “X”?
with those scores and that price, this could have been last year…
I smell rigged benchmark scores… companies have been known to do this so I’m not so sure this isn’t the case here.
The Zopo ZP820 that comes with the same chipset scored pretty much the same on AnTuTu: https://www.gizchina.com/2013/11/07/zopo-zp820-hands-on/.
finally a decent gpu!!!!!
