Huawei Watch Fit 3 could have a similar design to the Apple Watch, but still be different

While traditional watches mostly come with a round dial, the Apple Watch has made many prefer the non-round design when choosing a smartwatch. Given how popular the design has become now, many companies have brought out smartwatches that are inspired by the squircle shape. However, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 seems to have gone a step further than just taking inspiration.

As the recently emerged pictures of the Huawei Watch Fit 3 show, the company has basically copied the design of the Apple Watch. If these renders do end up being accurate, it will be very hard to distinguish Huawei’s offering from Apple’s. As a matter of fact, you may not even be able to tell the difference by taking a closer look.

Even with a similar design, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 will be different

The images attached below come from Ronald Quandt, a well-known WinFuture reporter with a solid track record. Of course, these are very early renders of the Huawei Watch Fit 3. But, given the track record of the source, this could very much be the real thing.

Even if the Watch Fit 3 does end up having the same design as the Apple Watch, it will be very different. As the renders show, the metal frame of the smartwatch is different. Also, the screen’s bezel is not the same, but, still, the positioning of the button on the side is the same as Apple’s Digital Crown.

Apple Watch

As for the other crucial differences, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 won’t be running Apple Watch OS. Instead, it will be running either Google WearOS or Huawei’s proprietary HarmonyOS operating system. The other aspects of the smartwatch are still unknown. However, this line of smart wearables focuses on fitness and sports features. Also, they are popular for being more affordable than the Apple Watch.
