Now it is taking its first steps in the trend of AI tech. Today, Honor first appeared at VivaTech, one of Europe’s largest tech and innovation events. During the keynote, Honor showcased an innovative approach to on-device AI and unveiled its 4-layer AI strategy.
Honor also announced the upcoming Gen-AI experiences with Google Cloud on its upcoming smartphones.

Honor’s 4-Layer AI Architecture
Honor’s biggest focus at the VivaTech keynote was to present its 4-Layer AI Architecture. The company also showcased its strategic focus on integrating AI into MagicOS.
The 4-layer ARchitecture comprises distinct levels. At the base layer, Cross-device and Cross-OS AI is the foundation of an open ecosystem. It allows computing power and services to be shared among devices and operation systems.
Building upon this foundation, the Platform-level AI layer enables a personalized operation system. It delivers an intent-based human-computer interaction with personalized resource allocation.
The third layer, App-Level AI, introduces a wave of innovative, generative AI applications. Finally, at the top, the Interface to the Cloud-AI services layer provides users easy access to massive cloud services while prioritizing privacy protection. The goal is to create a truly holistic and future-forward AI experience.

With the release of MagicOS 8.0, Honor introduced Magic Portal. It was the industry’s first intent-based UI capable of understanding user behavior to streamline complex tasks into single-step processes. Currently, Magic Portal supports 100 top applications across seven scenarios, including travel, productivity, messaging, search, entertainment, shopping, and social media. The company plans to expand usage scenarios in the future to deliver more AI experiences.
Finally, as part of the 4-Layer AI Architecture, Honor plans to integrate cutting-edge Gen-AI experiences, powered by Google Cloud. The tech will be present in the upcoming Honor devices, and aim to deliver a new level of intelligence and privacy protection.

With the launch of AI Motion Sensing Capture, Honor is ready to deploy more camera-related technologies that use AI to deliver better results. According to the brand, the upcoming Honor 200 series will take mobile photography to a new level with an AI-enhanced Portrait experience.
The Honor 200 series is set to impress on portrait photography thanks to the use of AI. Honor is bringing the expertise of Harcourt Studio, a French photography studio that is known for timeless celebrity portraits. The AI will leverage aspects of the image to recreate the iconic studio’s legendary lighting and shadow effects.
The Honor 200 series will use AI to learn from a vast database of Harcourt Studio portraits. After breaking the entire portrait photography process into 9 distinct steps, the AI perfectly replicates the full studio Harcour method. It ensures studio-quality images in every portrait shot.
The Honor 200 series will launch in Paris on June 12, running MagicOS 8.0 and bringing a new set of AI technology. Besides the new smartphones, Honor also announced it will soon roll out MagicOS 8.0 to Honor Magic V2 and the Honor 90 devices, further democratizing the power of AI.
