iQOO Pad 2 series has been unveiled in China. The series brings two new tablets to the market comprising the vanilla iQOO Pad 2 and a more expensive iQOO Pad 2 Pro. Both tablets provide high performance, and display specifications targeting multimedia consumers and gamers. However, each tablet has a different price range. We will check out each tablet individually below, but first, let’s begin with the design.
iQOO Pad 2 Series Design
Both tablets have an identical design language with a circular camera module on the rear. The tablet maintains a clean and elegant look, with minimal aesthetic additions. The colors are also sophisticated including silver, blue, and gray. The iQOO Pad 2 has a 6.57mm thickness and weighs 589.2 grams. Meanwhile, the Pad 2 Pro is a larger device and hence has a 6.64mm thickness and weighs 679 grams.

Starting from the vanilla model, the iQOO Pad 2 features a 12.05-inch LCD panel. This offers a resolution of 2800 x 1968 pixels. For gamers out there, the tab supports a high 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Multimedia consumers will appreciate the HDR support, P3 color gamut, and 10-bit colors. Hence, the display is a full package. Also, the bezels seem equal which is a good plus, as some bezels are required to comfortably use a tablet.
Moving to the camera department, the tab gets an 8MP rear shooter and a 5MP front shooter for selfies. Clearly, this is not a camera-centric device, as indicated by its specifications. However, the performance is not compromised thanks to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. For those unaware, this chip was recently announced and is quite powerful. It draws significant inspiration from the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Hence, it is capable of running everything thrown at it; making it ideal for hardcore gamers. The same chip has started powering many phones, and they are getting praised thanks to its high-end gaming experience. According to iQOO, the tablet features a three-dimensional cooling system ensuring the tablet stays cool during extensive tasks.
To make the tab run for a long time, it has a 10,000mAh battery and 44W fast charging support. Other highlights of the device include a six-speaker system, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB-C support. Lastly, the iQOO Pad 2 comes with OriginOS 4 based on Android 14 OS.

The iQOO Pad 2 Pro is a bigger device with a 13-inch LCD panel. This also offers a higher resolution of 3096 x 2064 pixels. While, it still supports 144Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 10-bit colors. One additional change in display is that the Pad 2 Pro has a peak brightness of 900 nits while the vanilla model peaks at 600 nits.
There are no changes in the camera department, as the Pad 2 Pro gets a similar 13MP shooter on the rear and 5MP on the front. However, in the performance department, the Pad 2 Pro opts for MediaTek’s top-of-the-line Dimensity 9300 PlusĀ chipset. This is also a recently launched chipset, and it is quite capable. It was able to score 2.3M+ score on AnTuTu Benchmarks compared to the typical 1.4M score of Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 used on the vanilla model. As a tech enthusiast, I appreciate iQOO exploring two different chips for their tablets. This will offer consumers more choices as some may prefer Qualcomm and some prefer MediaTek.Ā The Pro model also offers a cooling system.
With a bigger display, there is also a demand for a larger battery. Hence, the iQOO Pad 2 Pro gets an 11,500mAh battery with 66W fast charging. In connectivity, the Pro model offers Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a USB-C. Similar to the vanilla model, the tab comes out of the box with OriginOS 4 based on Android 14 OS.
