It is worth noting that Google Wallet uses the Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. This is the same tech that is used in the Tap-to-Pay cards. This technology allows swift transaction process since you only need to hold your phone closer to a payment point. Interestingly, the app can do more than just making payments. It can also store scannable bar codes of cards. This allows the user to go without the card since the app is able to store cards.
