Discover the Leaked Pricing of Samsung Galaxy Ring

Samsung Galaxy Ring

Samsung is all set to bring their new wearable accessory, the Galaxy Ring, on July 10. It is a smart ring, and being the first from the company, the hype is high. Before the launch, the price of the Samsung Galaxy Ring is leaked, and it suggests that it will not be a cheap device. Let’s explore the leak in detail below.

Samsung Galaxy Ring

Galaxy Ring was teased months earlier. Samsung decided to take its time with the product. It is a new accessory for them, and they might have wanted to polish it enough before the actual launch. The pricing or target market has not been disclosed by Samsung. However, the leaked pricing gives us a rough idea that it may not be for the budget market. The leak suggests that the Galaxy Ring is going to cost more than the Galaxy Watch 6.

The leak comes from Dealabs revealing that the Galaxy Ring will have a price tag of  €449 in France. It translates to USD 487 and gives us a hint that it will be a premium product. For comparison, the Oura Ring has a price tag of $299. There are also other smart rings in the market such as  Circular Pro 1 costing $410. But the Galaxy Ring seems to be priced much higher than the competition. Hence, it seems like Samsung is targeting the premium market for this new wearable accessory. Furthermore, the leak lists three color options including black, silver, and gold. It will be available in nine sizes, and users will be able to order a testing kit to check their ring size if they don’t know already.

Galaxy Ring Highlights

Samsung Galaxy Ring

Although the Galaxy Ring is not official yet, we have some idea of what to expect from the upcoming wearable accessory. The main functionality of the Galaxy Ring will be its health tracking. It will pair up with the Galaxy Health application and give useful information about one’s health. According to reputable source TomsGuide, the Galaxy Ring may have an ECG sensor for tracking heart rate. Moreover, it may also sport a sensor for “blood flow measurements.”

It may also bring some sleep quality monitoring features including sleep latency, respiratory rate, movement at night, and snoring detection. All of these features combined with Galaxy Watch’s tracking, will become a much more detailed analysis of one’s health. It will make Samsung’s ecosystem more stronger and versatile. Samsung may also improve the ecosystem by allowing the Galaxy Ring to control other Galaxy devices. For example, it might be used to unlock other Galaxy devices. Hence, this product will hold a strong position in enhancing the Galaxy’s ecosystem. However, the high price range is still a concern. That said, we will have more information about the ring on Samsung’s Unpacked Event scheduled for July 10.
