Huawei’s mobile division is making a huge push for global markets. After announcing that the Ascend Mate 2 phablet would be coming to global markets, it has now been leaked that they are planning on releasing a 7.5mm thin 7 inch 4G LTE tablet in global markets.
The folks at gsminsider have stumbled upon a listing in the Bluetooth SIG database that revealed the Huawei 7 inch tablet. There isn’t much in the way of internal hardware revealed, but the pictures do reveal the look of the device.
What we do know is that it has a 7 inch screen, is 7.5 mm thick, has both 3G and 4G LTE connectivity and has an aluminum-alloy casing. The last bit of info that can be extracted from this listing is that its CPU is made by HiSilicon.

HiSilicon is a division of Huawei that was originally created so that Huawei could build its own chips for its routers way back in 1991. In 2004 it became its own division in Huawei and in 2011 it began focusing on ARM based CPUs for mobile devices.
So what CPU could we be looking at here?
Their highly rumored Octa-core K3V3 CPU seems like a good bet. Other rumors have it that the K3V3 uses ARM big.LITTLE architecture which allows it to switch between two sets of (in this case quad-core) CPUs, switching to the weaker but less power draining chip when users are doing mundane tasks like checking email.
Reports have stated that the K3V3 chip is expected to come out in the first quarter of 2014 and that it will support 4g LTE with a 300mbps download speed. Could this be the tablet Huawei’s new CPU debuts on?
Hmm! Not with my barely 15 months old mediapad 7 lying unusable for the last 8 months because of battery issue.
The battery was actually changed after a few months of buying it without any improvement.
