The Xiaomi Piston headphones have been on sale for some time and have proven to be very popular thanks to their great qualith, both audio quality and quality of manufacture and materials. The only issue really being that the silver CNC alloy body just isn’t bling enough! Thankfully this has now been sorted and the 99 Yuan headphones now come in a new gold finish!

Very “fresh” news. I have one. Sounds beautifull. Much better than 1st “silver” version. Without a rival for this price.

Better sound
Seems the updated “brown”version…ordered it a week ago $18.99@Ibuygou (http://www.ibuygou.com/p-original_xiaomi_piston_earphone_updated_version_brown-5708-usd.html) and they are on the way. So it’s not so “new as it seems IF it’s the same model”/color etc…

I got the original silver ones and (on my recommendation) a colleague bought a pair of these gold ones… The gold ones seem to be quieter. 🙁 and this is not news
You know there is a volume control button 😉 How do you mean queter? For surrounding or in ear sound? Even if you tweak the headset settings??
Quieter as in when the volume is turned up all the way the gold set sounds less loud when compared to the original silver ones… and as these are earbud style headphones, that would be in-ear sound. Volume control is not an issue, but nice try.

Very good material quality really. And for what counts most: sound quality is very good too. I really like them.
