OnePlus is doing a decent job in rolling out the Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 for its recent smartphones. Today, the company started rolling out the stable version of the OxygenOS 15 update for the OnePlus 12R. The new update comes in just a few weeks after the company made the open beta available. The update is rolling out in all major regions including India, North America, and EU/Global. The North American update will start rolling out in the next week, while the other regions are already receiving the update.
OnePlus 12R Receives OxygenOS 12 Beta Update
The OxygenOS 15 update brings a new design with updated animations and visual effects. It also embraces the latest trends in AI with a set of features. Those aiming to update will need to be running the stable Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 release. Unfortunately, if you’re running the OxygenOS 15 open beta, you will need to switch back to stable OxygenOS 14. This info was available for those who installed the beta in any case. Enrolling back from beta to stable will wipe your data and revert it to the factory settings. You will be able to reinstall the new update shortly after this. Those who never enrolled in the beta program will receive the new update without flaws.
As usual, this process completely wipes the device and resets it to factory settings. You shall then be able to install the stable OxygenOS 15 release when it becomes available to your device. With the update, the OnePlus 12R becomes the second smartphone in the OnePlus pipeline to get the update. It’s not a big surprise as this along with the OnePlus 12, another device that got OxygenOS 15, are two of the three flagships released by the brand this year. Another flagship, the foldable OnePlus Open, is still waiting for the update. We assume that due to its foldable nature, OnePlus should be taking more time to cook the specific features.
Of Course, there are many other OnePlus devices on the list of eligible smartphones. We expect OnePlus to continue its rollout in the next months.
