Motorola has launched an open beta program to test new AI features on select devices. The list currently includes flagships like the Razr 50 series and the Edge 50 Ultra. This Moto AI initiative allows users to experience and provide feedback on these features before their official release.
The company is the latest to embrace the AI trend and make it one of the pinnacles for its future. With the success of OpenAI’s ChatGPT and all the solutions that followed, this is the new trend for smartphones. We are seeing multiple brands equipping their devices with AI assistance, and even chipmakers are now considering this when building new CPUs. We are curious to see which kind of solution Motorola will provide to differ from the competition.
Motorola’s Moto AI Open Beta Program Introduces New Features
Motorola has launched an open beta program for its AI features on select devices, including the Razr 50 series and Edge 50 Ultra. Here’s a closer look at the three main features:
Gizchina News of the week
- Catch Me Up:
This feature creates a summary of all notifications you missed while you were away from your phone. When you return, you can quickly catch up on everything without scrolling through each notification. - Pay Attention:
It can record meetings and generate easy-to-read summaries using bullet points, helping you stay on top of important discussions. - Remember This:
This is like a digital journal. You can tag photos and screenshots with notes and later search for them using voice commands.
New UI Enhancements
Motorola has also updated its interface:
- The app tray now has three categories: Apps, News, and Journal.
- A floating prompt makes it faster to access these AI tools.
How to Join
The beta is now available through the Play Store for the Razr 50 series and Edge 50 Ultra. If you have one of these devices, you’ll get a notification to sign up and try these exciting new features. Unfortunately, none of the mid-range smartphones like those in the Moto G series are eligible for the open beta. Hopefully, we will see these devices getting the same treatment in the future. After all, only a small amount of Motorola users will rock the fanciest flagships.
It is worth noting that this is a specific feature, and apparently, has nothing to do with the upcoming Android 15 update.
