Honor 300 Pro Appears on Geekbench with Possible Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Variant

The Honor 300 series will launch soon in China and is set to continue the number series’ legacy of bringing premium mid-range specifications, with unique style. However, this year will be different as these devices are getting a more… “flagship treatment”. For the first time, we are seeing the Honor 300 Ultra as the new higher-end variant. It is rumored to reduce the gap between the Number series with the Magic series flagships. The phone is rumored to include the Snapdragon 8 Elite. However, if a new Geekbench benchmark is to be believed, the Honor 300 Pro will also play in the flagship territory with some sort of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 variant.

Honor 300 Pro Spotted on Geekbench with Mysterious Qualcomm Chipset

We say variant because the specs on this chip are slightly different from a regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The Honor 300 Pro appeared on Geekbench with an Honor AMP-AN00 model number and an unnamed Qualcomm chipset. It seems to be an underclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The listing shows a prime core clocked at 3.05 GHz (down from 3.30 GHz) alongside 5 large cores at 2.96 GHz and 2 x 2.04 GHz efficient cores.

The listing shows 2,141 points in the Single-Core scores and 6,813 in the multi-core department. This could also be a new chipset with a similar core arrangement, but the rumors have been pointing to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Geekbench also confirms 16 GB of RAM and Android 15 OS which presumably comes with MagicOS 9.0 running atop.

So far, the rumors have been pointing out the Honor 300 Pro to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It will boast 50 MP main and 50 MP telephoto cameras. The device will draw its power from a 5,300 mAh battery with 100W wired and 66W wireless charging. Other features confirmed are the IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, NFC, and an IR Port.

We expect a few more teasers from Honor ahead of the release of the new smartphones. So stay tuned for more details.
