UMi are quietly getting ready to launch their latest X model on to the mobile phone world and leaked details give us some idea of what we an expect from the flagship UMi X3 phone!
There have been plenty of rumours surrounding the UMi X3 of late. Rumours have included the use of a 2.0Ghz processor, and even 4G LTE! So what is true and what’s false?
Sources close to UMi have told reporters that the company aims to launch not 1 but 2 versions of the UMi X3. Both will offer similar features, however the top of the range model will in fact boasts 4G LTE support! This is great news, but we will have to wait for Mediatek to launch the LTE enabled MT6595 processor before we see the UMi X3 LTE on the market.

If LTE isn’t all that important to you then you will be happy to learn than the first UMi X3 to head to market should go on sale in just a few weeks. Although this model will lack LTE it will feature all the other hardware goodies including a 5.5-inch LG FHD display (the same found on the LG Optimus G Pro), 2GB RAM, 14 mega-pixel rear camera, 3150mAh battery, and 64GB of internal memory!
We don’t have pricing for the UMi X3 but we believe it will start at around 2000 Yuan or less for Chinese customers!
Will companies like ZeroLemon support any of these phones???

what I don’t understand is why don’t the aftermarket battery companies that make these extended batteries for Major brand products like Samsung phones start getting together with these China companies who seem to sell 15000 phones in a few minutes during an opening sale of a new model. gotta love run on sentences lol Perfect example,

Andi you didnt mention if it has 2.0GHz MT6592 or the 1.7GHz variant. Please confirm this so I decide on whether to go with Umi X3 or the 3D69. Both got their advantages over the other, but Umi got more including the 64GB vs 32GB of inbuilt memory, 14MP vs 13MP Rear camera, higher battery capacity of 3150mAH vs 2500/2350mAH. Whereas the 3D69 has a FHD 3D display and currently 2.0GHz against 1.7GHz SoC.
I need to know exact specs of the Umi X3 to decide.

hi, i think the same that u Michael. I need 2.0ghz too. The 3d69 comes from a unknown company, UMI r more famous. It can be a risky decision to go for the 3d69. There is the HTM h100 who works with 2.0ghz too, but it s not a famous company. Hope that the tests of all these phones will give us the answer, which one to buy.
The TCL idolx+ is 2.0ghz too, but no microsd, so i dt search abt it anymore.
These mtk6592 phone seem to be coming out thick and fast at the moment, but nothing really excites me except the 3D69! It seems to be one of the very few phones announced with the 2GHz version of the chip, anyone know where it can be purchased??
If you had to choose one of the following and only the following which would it be and why: Umi X3, iOcean X8 or Zopo ZP998 ?
It’s difficult as I haven’t seen the X3 or X8 in person, but from what I have read I think the X8 due to the gorilla glass and alloy construction

Depends also on the 3g bands they use. Also if battery life is important more than off screen gesture. In this case… For the reasons I mentioned I’d want to lean to the umi. I love the zopo screen but a power user should be better off with the umi specs. And please don’t choose a phone made of metal… It’s been proven that good internal specs is the major part of the smartphone experience… And heat can be an issue. I personally don’t see the point of paying more for a metal phone if you still have to buy a case. Dents look horrible(i had xperia p )
