The Poco X7 and Poco X7 Pro are already in the pipeline for release, and the leaks are starting to corroborate this. Today, a fresh new leak comes with key specifications and even images that reveal the design of the upcoming premium mid-range smartphones. The specs are getting better each generation, and the X7 series will continue this rise.
POCO X7 and X7 Pro To Bring Dimensity Chips and Fast-Charging
Starting with the vanilla model, the POCO X7 will feature a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Under the hood, it carries the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra SoC. This chipset is built on a 4nm TSMC process with octa-core architecture. There are 4 x ARM Cortex-A78 cores clocked up 2.6 GHz, and 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2.0 GHz. It has 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of Internal Storage.
In terms of optics, the POCO X7 has a 50 MP main camera with OIS 2x in-sensor zoom. Furthermore, it comes with a 20 MP selfie shooter. The device has a nice design considering the renders with a circular camera island at the top center. Moving on, it has IP68 certification for dust and water resistance and a 5,110 mAh battery with support for 45W fast-wired charging.
When it comes to the POCO X7 Pro, it should be a rebadged Redmi Turbo 4. After all, it will use the just-unveiled MediaTek Dimensity 8400. Xiaomi will use its usual “Ultra” variant that supposedly features extra tweaks. It will have the same 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the panel will have up to 3,200 nits of peak brightness and a 2,560 Hz touch sampling rate.
The X7 Pro main camera is also a 50 MP camera with OIS. It uses Sony’s IMX882 sensor and supports 4K video recording at 60 fps with dual OIS and EIS stabilization. The POCO X7 Pro features Gorilla Glass 7i on top of its screen. It has the same iP68 dust and water resistance rating. It has a bigger 6,000 mAh battery with 90W fast wired charging. The handset will run HyperOS 2.0.
Given the fact the Redmi Turbo 4 will arrive in China early in 2025, then the POXO X7 series should make an appearance in Q1 2025.
