Xiaomi SU7 in Brilliant Magenta Spotted in a Parking Lot

Xiaomi SU7 Brilliant Magenta

At the end of last year, Xiaomi dropped a new color for its super popular SU7 EV to celebrate its 15th birthday. They called it a limited edition, which made it even cooler. When you look at the real thing, you can say that it’s cool as it sounds. Xiaomi offered some fancy promo images that only give us a glimpse of the real product. Real photos have popped up in China, showing it chilling in a parking lot.  It looks even better in real life with a unique aspect and cool details.

Xiaomi’s Brilliant Magenta Color Costs More But is No Longer Limited

As usual for Chinese brands, Xiaomi isn’t calling this simply a Red SU7. The official name for the color options, or at least, the machine-translated name is Brilliant Magenta. Honestly, the color name fits with the car’s real-life look. It is certainly inside the magenta’s spectrum. Of course, some of the vehicle’s parts have subtle shades of black. Certainly to give a more sports look to the electric vehicle. In the end, the final product certainly is something that most of the car lovers will enjoy. Unfortunately, this unique aspect and look comes with an additional price.

You’ll have to shell out a bit extra for this color, though. The Brilliant Magenta option is priced at CNY 9,000 (around €1,100), compared to the other premium colors, which cost CNY 7,000 (about €865). The good news is that this isn’t a limited edition anymore! Looks like Xiaomi changed its mind after seeing how much people loved this color—it’s here to stay. Certainly a perfect opposite for the stunning blue tone we saw in the original SU7.

The Xiaomi SU7 is doing quite well in China and helping the domestic market to see a big shift towards local companies. In December 2024, the SU7 outsold the Tesla Model 3, which was a significant milestone for the new EV. Xiaomi’s 15 years of effort in this project, which started in 2010, seems to be paying off.
