The publication Great G-Shock World recently shared the news that Casio will launch a Barbie-themed G-Shock watch in February. The model, called GMA-S110BE, GMA-S110BE-4A, or GMA-S110BE-4AJR, is based on the GMA-S110 series and will likely be a limited edition. Now, Jebsen, an official Casio seller in Hong Kong, has confirmed the watch and hinted at its release date. This is a standard watch and has no kind of smart feature embedded.
Barbie G-Shock is a Pink Jewel For Those Who Want to Pay $204 for a Standard (Yet Unique) Sports Watch
The GMA-S110BE-4A watch has a mostly pink look, with different shades on the face, case, and strap. It features Barbie branding and a heart-shaped detail on the speed dial, fitting Barbie’s fun style. The design blends fashion with durability, making it a stylish yet tough accessory.
The GMA-S110BE is a mix of digital and analog. It covers 29 time zones and has an automatic calendar that works until 2099. Other features include a stopwatch, a countdown timer, and five alarms. The watch runs on a CR1220 battery that lasts about two years. It is built to handle rough conditions while keeping a trendy look, making it appealing to both collectors and casual users.
A marketing page shows that customers can enter a draw to buy the watch starting February 10th, with an expected shipping date of February 24th. The watch is priced at HK$1,580 (US$204) in Hong Kong, but it’s unclear where else it will be sold or how much it will cost in other regions.
Meanwhile, Casio Japan has launched two new G-Shock models, GD-010CE-5JF and GA-010CE-2AJF, in its Urban Utility series. These watches use biomass plastic for the case and bezel, while the bands are made from recycled materials. The bands are also dyed with natural colors from food waste—red turnip for the GA-010CE and echinacea for the GD-010CE. This eco-friendly approach highlights Casio’s efforts to combine sustainability with high-quality watchmaking, attracting environmentally conscious buyers.
With the Barbie-themed G-Shock and the eco-friendly Urban Utility series, Casio continues to offer innovative designs that appeal to both collectors and casual users.
